"Drifting away, a small bottle of glass, a message with a wish placed in."
Note: This is just my own version of "Servant of Evil" and "Message of Regret" as the epilogue. Neither of which are mine, and belongs to ニコニコ productions/website.
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, lived a pair of royal twins of the Yellow kingdom.
Both were beautiful, and they were very close, both emotionally and age-wise. But the young lady was older, and by her birth, it was set that she was the heir to the throne. The boy was set as a royal servant.
The twins used to meet after her lessons in a field filled with clovers; her favorite, "flower." The boy made things for her, and cherished her greatly, in which she reciprocated in the same manner. They were only ones in their little world of bliss.
They often ran away from the palace, and would head to a small dock on the other side of the peninsula from their home. There, the boy would tell her local stories, and legends. She asked, "Brother, does this dock have a legend?" He had nodded, and grinned. "Yes. If you place a piece of paper with a wish inside into a glass bottle, and throw it to sea, someday, when you become a good person, your wish will come true."
Together, they made their wishes, and placed their dreams into two small glass bottles, and threw them to sea. They prayed for them to be granted.
But as the girl got older, she was unable to go to that field and run to that dock. Though she tried to run, the guards always caught her before she could leave the royal grounds. Eventually, she just gave up. The boy was left alone for years, only leaving the field for chores, lessons, sleep, and meals.
Years pass, and the girl and boy grow up without one another. They are now sixteen years old. The girl never sees the boy, and she almost completely forgets him, until she obtains the throne. He, being the personal servant, goes with her everywhere, and if it weren't for his hair tied up, he'd look just like the queen.
They return to the field, but the girl no longer cares as much as she did. It hurts the boy, but he pushes it aside for her happiness. As the queen, she can't leave the palace either for that dock.
One day, they meet surrounding royals: the Blue, the Green, the Red. The first time he sees the Green Queen, he falls in love with her smile and grace. But the Blue's king, a handsome, kind, young man, instantly catches Yellow's young queen's eyes. She's completely smitten, throwing her brother, and their bond away. But Blue is head over heels in love with Green's beautiful queen. Her elegance, gentleness, and nature overwhelm the childish Yellow lady.
And the girl boils with jealously. She then commands her brother to kill the Green Queen, despite his feelings. But he can't stand to see his older sister in pain, and goes off to kill the queen. Once dead, the brother is drowned in misery over the woman's death.
It was then that a war began. Blue recruited the Red kingdom to invade the Yellow. Things began to crumble at the palace, and it's not long before the invaders had reached the queen's quarters. The boy, whom was always with the queen, shoved the scared, and crying lady into her closet after giving her a set of his clothes. He takes a dress, and unties his hair.
She watches in horror as her beloved brother walks out of the closet, looking just like her. But she says nothing, but is screaming, "NO," in her head.
The brother, scared, but determined to save the remaining royal, turns himself in.
The girl, having collapsed from exhaustion, finds herself still inside the closet. She then grabs a cloak, puts the hood on, and exits the palace grounds to the town square where a guillotine sits, with the brother's neck sitting plainly.
As she reaches the front, a bell rings. The impostor just smiles. "Goodbye."
The girl queen then watches with tears running down her face as her brother's head falls to the ground. The cheers echo around her. She then proceeds to run away.
Her feet take her back to where her brother and her made a wish. She lives in secret, away from the palace where the Red and Blue now rule.
Months later, while walking along the shore, she spots a bottle. She's taken back to the time when she made her wish -"I want to be with my brother forever."
Small tears fall, but when she opens it, the pain explodes. In a familiar script, the words written with love: "I want my sister to be happy."
And his wish had come true... but only until he was killed.
Years pass, and now the former queen ages, and on the brink of death; alone. On her bedside table, she wrote, "If we can start over one more time..."
She closes her eyes, and suddenly, her brother is in front of her like he was before the day he died. He smiles, and offers his hand. She gladly takes with her now younger body, and bright smile.
She finally became a good person.
