(: Lili-chan's Gaia Life :)
Fic: Resemblance
Tsuna attempted to block off Hibari's continuous jabs but apparently, threee hours of non-stop training were beggining to take it's toll on the Vongola's body. Reborn said that the Hibari of this generation was the strongest out of the six guardians. he definitely wasn't exaggerating.

Distracted with his thoughts, Tsuna didn't notice Hibari's tonfa extending towards his face, and by the time he did, he was already sent flying, a stinging pain emitting from his chin.

He landed with a thud, adding to the list of pains that he was being put through. Hibari didn't seem sympathetic, instead, looking increasingly frustrated.

"Pathetic. Is this really the Tenth Vongola Boss? Regardless of you lacking ten years of experience you should have at least been able to dodge that."

"I-I'm sorry Hibari-san. I was...thinking," Tsuna weakly explained as the Dying Will Flame on his forehead disappeared.

"Shut up herbivore. I don't need your excuses," he said harshly before resuming his fighting stance. "Now are you just going to sit there while I bite you to death?"

Immediately, Tsuna stood, swallowing the pills that he fished from his pocket. As soon as the Dying Will Flame ignited, he charged at Hibari, who was quick to block with his tonfas.

But despite his attempts, the match just ended up like the previous ones. Him lying on the floor with another addition to his ever-growing list of injuries.

While Tsuna was busy trying to catch his breath from the blow he had just received. He was suddenly grabbed by the collar and hoisted off the floor by an irate, ten years older Hibari Kyoya. "I have reached my limit, Sawada Tsunayoshi. For two days I have been putting up with you and your useless attacks. If you think that the present you will be enough to defeat him then you are more of a foolish herbivore than I originally thought," he hissed.

Tsuna placed a hand on Hibari's wrist in a measly attempt to placate him. "H-Hibari-san..."

"Ask yourself this Sawada Tsunayoshi. Why did I agree to train you in the first place? Why would I even think of wasting my time on someone like you?"

Tsuna remained silent. He had also been surprised at Hibari's agreement to train him, and was too relieved to even ask why he agreed in the first place.

His ignorance seemed to fuel the Cloud Guardian's anger further and he was slammed into the wall, the hand previously clutching his collar was now wrapped around his neck.

"Because, Tsunayoshi, I was actually hoping that once you trained directly under me that you would become like the Tsunayoshi of this era. The man who was actually good enough. The only one who ever gave me a real fight. One I actually enjoyed."

Tsuna stared at him with wide russet eyes. Hibari had thought this highly of the future him?

The hand around his throat loosened, and Hibari's voice lowered to a hiss.

"But like the weak herbivore he was, he just had to go out there and die, didn't he. Die for the sake of protecting his friends"

He drew out the last word as if it were the most vile thing that had ever passed his lips. His eyes were no longer focused on anything in particular. He was staring into space, as if remembering something he had long ago shoved into the deepest crevice of his mind.

Tsuna's hand, which was now limp above Hibari's wrist, tightened briefly, as if unsure whether he should get Hibari's attention or leave him be. But Tsuna decided, as much as he would regret it later, to just snap Hibari out of it. It was uncomfortable, hanging by your neck, he learned.

He stuggled a bit and attempted to detach Hibari's hand from his throat, "H-Hibari-san, would you please let me go..I c-can't breathe."

Hibari immediately retracted his hands, as if he was burned. He watched emotionlessly as Tsuna unceremoniously landed on his behind.

'You were sleeping. You're supposed to be signing papers.'

A nervous laugh emitted from the Vongola Decimo, who was sitting on the floor after a rude awakening from his Cloud Guardian.

'Sorry, but there were just so many of them. I just wanted a break...'

The Cloud guardian's eyes narrowed. 'You'll get your break once you finish signing these,' he pointed to the pile on Tsuna's table. 'And those,' he gestured to the Rain and Storm Guardians, who each had stacks of papers in their arms that were almost taller than they were.

'Awww...Hibari-saaaaaaan.'

He shut his eyes and moved towards the door. He needed to clear his mind.

"Hibari-san!"

He turned to the younger, weaker version of the person he once knew. Great, even looking at him was making it even harder to forget.

"I will grow stronger! I won't disappoint you! In fact, with you as my tutor, I'm sure Ill be even stronger! Stonger than I was before!"

Those eyes. They shone with such determination. Yes, those were the eyes he wanted to see. That will to fight and become stronger.

He departed the room without a word, but as he walked through those halls, a satisfied grin made its way on his face without his knowledge.

'That's right, Tsunayoshi. Prove to me you're not such a herbivore.'

He couldn't wait for tomorrow's lesson.

Author's Note:

Lili: Nyaa~ Ok. I don't know what possessed me to write this, but the plot bunny bit me and didn't want to let go until I did. And yeah, the colors are there for a reason. Each Guardian has his/her color, and I thought it'd be cute. xd Think I should post this on LJ? FF?

Gokudera:Hey, why am I not in here?! The Tenth needs me! You can't trust that psycho with the Tenth!

Lili: Behave Gokudera-kun. And what are you saying, you're right there *points to his very minor role*

Gokudera:That does not count!!

Lili: Oh cut it out. It's for Hibari's birthday anyway. Believe me, I'd love to add Mukuro-sama but since it's Hibari-san's special day, it's just him and Tsuna-chan.

Gokudera:*sulks in corner*
