After the Storm
After almost three days without power, a piece of normality has finally been returned to my house. I was taking a nap the other day, when my mom came in and flicked a light on. I felt like I should have fluttered around it like a moth. We waited until today to plug in computers and turn the router back on, so I’m making rounds around my usual sites. I’ve heard that what happened here is being reported as just a storm, but I’m here to tell you it was not. What we were hit by can really be called nothing other than an inland hurricane. Having seen it from inside my house, I can tell you that it looked just like hurricane footage. From what I’ve heard, most meteorologists didn’t even know that this was possible. It was insane. I don’t think I'll ever feel the same about a little heavy wind.
