"...you ready for this, you guys?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."
"I suppose."
"Yup! Let's pulverize them!"
"Hell yeah! Let's get started!"
Five girls walked onto stage, donning five different black outfits, and hats that hid their hair, and what looked like glasses that concealed their identity. Their backs were facing them, and they were all crouching down.
The people whispered around him. Some of them were good, some were just crap, others were not even looking at the girls. But when the lights dimmed, everyone's eyes were on them. There was complete silence, a single light shining on the center, assumingly the main, girl.
Slowly, she raised her right hand with her fingers digging into her palm.
She raised her thumb finger.
The girl on the far left rose, standing as still as a doll.
She raised her pinky finger.
The girl on the far right rose, and like the other, she froze once fully stretched.
She raised her index finger.
The girl directly to the left of her rose steadily like the other two.
She raised her ring finger.
The girl to her right began to stand, rising softly without a sound.
Finally, the girl raised her middle finger, and she slowly stood herself.
"Hey," she said aloud, loud enough for everyone in the auditorium to hear.
"Yeah?" said the girl to the left. "What's up?"
"Everyone's waiting." Said the girl on the far right.
On the far left, the girl still standing like a stiff wall replied, "What should we do about it?"
People were already whispering, saying things like, "What the hell is this, a play?" "I thought this was supposed to be a talent show, not a boring show!"
Suddenly, the girl on the center's right spoke, "Oh, look guys! People are talking during our act! How insulting. Maybe we should do something..." She paused, obviously to grin, "drastic." Several teens shut up at her comments. Staring up at them, the boy let his gaze linger. Their voices sounded familiar, but where were they from?
"True." Lowering her arm, the center's body fell into place with the others. "IN FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT!"
Out of the blue, music shot out of the speakers. The girls stayed motionless, but several melodic voices began making itself know.
"Mmmm..."
"Ohhh..."
"Hey..."
Then the girl in the left corner turned. She made a graceful turn, sweetly steeping foward in an attempt to get everyone's attention. The spotlight blared on her, as she hummed. "To see a shooting star," she took another step forward, and posed with her left hand on her chest, and her right reaching for the crowd. "it's almost impossible to see." She froze with a smile.
The light then faded from her, and went straight to the far left corner, where the girl has also turned. She had awkwardly turned to take a step, but made up for it when she sang right on count, "Maybe I'm like that star?" She hugged herself, and turned her eyes away. "Waiting for someone to see... waiting for someone like me?" Her body stopped moving as well, as the spotlight changed.
The beat became louder, the tempo a bit faster.
On the left of center, "Something is broken, and something's on fire," Placing her hand together, she looked like she was praying with the desperation in her face. "It's the burning the light right out of my eyes."
"I'm not looking for a man in white," Ms. Righty sang after the light on other girl began to shine on her. Taking a move forward, she framed her face with her hands, and continued, "I'm just looking for someone who would cover my tears when I cry."
Finally, they light went back to the center girl. She slowly turned, the music rising and tempo becoming faster. Then, she looked at the crowd, and said, "What the effin hell?! We all know that's sh!t, and why are we singing it?!"

A comedy between two groups, and how they laughed at their own mishaps, and tales of falling in and out of love.
