Blackened Snow
I started awake with my ears ringing from the memories I'd dreamed till now.
Drenched in sweat and feeling disgusting, I decided to go to the bathroom and wash my face and neck. Never had i been so covered in persperation from a dream. I was becoming frightened of my nightmares.
Once in the bathroom I gathered a small white hand-towel that had been upon a pile of folded larger towels I'd just gained from the facility. Sighing, I turned on the faucet, then I looked into the oval mirror just above the shell sink. I let out a bloodcurdling scream. There in the mirror was the ghost reflection of my deceased sibling covered in a blood stained nightgown, holding her singed teddy bear. She stared at me looking like she'd expected a different reaction. She put a finger to her pale little lips then whispered "Silent now please". I locked my jaws so as not to scream again. "Thank you sister dearest" she said, pleased she'd quieted me down, "What the hell are you doing in my mirror?!!?!" I half screamed, half growled, the frightenedness disappearing, quickly turning into anger. "Quiet! calm down sister, he is coming to bring you more nightmares. I wanted only to warn you to not sleep so as not to be trapped...Unless you like waking up like this shrieking at nothing." I scoffed, "This doesn't always happen. I sleep peacefully sometimes" I mumbled. Annabella started to fade from my mirror. "Sister sleep peacefully!
Wait something is pulling me away! NOooOooOo-- " she didn't get to finish.
