The girl kneeled down and became angry as she started to slam the flashlight into the ground. Thud thud. "Work, you silly thing!" She yelled in outrage. When the beam of light birthed from the flashlight the girl sighed. Slowly, she stood up and smiled faintly. Hesitant, she moved the beam of light around her surrounding. How was it that everything had become so dark? And when it was so unexpected? She guessed that was how things worked. You could never expect anything. Not even from yourself. The girls feet started to move from under her, forcing her to try to find something in the darkness. Not even the beam of light showed anything to her green eyes. Everything was gone. The people, the places. Gone. Gone in one night. Then again, to the girl it seemed before then. If she thought back, it started to slip through her fingers before then. The thought of it made the girl cast her eyes down toward the floor. Suddenly, the girl stopped and gaped at the sight. Everyone was under her. They had lights, music...laughter. The sound even hurt her ears. She laughed once, did she not? She could see and hear them, but they could not see or hear her. Biting her lip as she moved her eyes over the faces that once brought her joy. It only made her stomach flip and bile rise in her throat. When things around her started to get dim, she peeled her eyes toward the flashlight in her hand. The light was dimming again! Whimpering, "No..." Tapping the flashlight with her free hand, her nails making a light clinking sound on the plastic. In reaction the light twinkled and started to dim once more. "No...I need you." Funny how those words seemed so familiar to her. Like how she had said them a million times. And the girls last light when off. Leaving her in the pitch black. Even with her out stretched arms, she did not touch or brush against anything. The girl was once again stuck in the hole, without a light...
