5th Day in Japan - July 12, 2009
I got to sleep in until 9:00am which was nice... and I took my shower. For breakfast I ate eggs and bacon. I wore my 'I <3 Anime' shirt with my tan shorts. Then around 10:00am we left to watch the baseball team at Seirei compete against another school. To get to the game we had to take a train and we went with 2 of Yuki's friends which were really nice. The scenes I saw while on the train were AMAZING! I wish I brought my camera but all the batteries I brought were dumb and cheap! =(
The baseball game was actually pretty interesting and it made me understand the game more since I've never really been into sports. Plus, Seirei won!!! 6 to 2. =) I was pretty proud to be a part of Seirei. I ended up getting a nice sun burn on my legs, arms, and face... but it was well worth it. The train back was tiring... we ended up taking 2 different ones and the wait for her mom at the pickup station was painful with my sunburns. Instead of going straight home we went to the food market, which I've never seen one that packed or empty of food! O_O It was weird. But we got a few things and her mom bought me batteries for my camera.
When we got home we watched TV till dinner was ready. We had meat (I think burger), with rice, miso soup, meat and potatoes shaped extremely weird. I did not like the miso soup or the edible bones, it wasn't really the taste, but the texture was way too much for me. Now I'm sitting on the couch writing in here. Her mom is making adjustments to my yukata while the TV is on. Oh, and they surprised me at dinner with chopsticks and a rice bowl for me as a present. Well, I'm about to go to bed, so goodnight.
So I didn't end up going to bed, instead Yuki's aunt came over with her daughter and we played with sparklers! It took over an hour to use them all up because there were so many. After the fireworks I went straight to bed, Yuki stayed up till 2 am.
P.S. I'll be adding my 6th Day in Japan on this very entry, so come back for more updates...
