I closed my eyes,
and your smile passed by,
leaving me feeling lost.
You called my name,
and I felt the same,
except now I was tainted with guilt.
To hear you sigh,
it makes me cry,
for you gave me your heart.
I wish I could please you,
but that I can't do
because I'm cutting our strings.
No this isn't a dream,
because I can feel everything
as I leave you behind.
Now I bid you adeu,
but I'm begging you,
let me be the only one to cry.
