Rafael's eyes widened as he saw me. My demon form, but with the anger and hate towards him as well. I felt more powerful than if I shifted normally. My skin was lightening blue with strange, darker patterns and my hair had grown long and dark. My demonic wings and horns made me look more like a demon and less like some supernatural creature. I had doubled in size, as well, and my powers were beyond my human limits.
"W-wait, Lothario, please," Rafael begged, and he scrambled up. Then he ran, half backwards, away, and I had no intention to follow. I would kill him later, once he was far away. It would be fun, a little hunting game. I would give him one hour to run as far away as possible, and I'd track him down, scaring him and making him welcome death when it came.
"Lothario?!" I twisted around from my relaxed position. Only 45 minutes had past, at the most. Who was here that knew my name? Unless it was- "Fioritura? What the hell are you doing here?" I demanded. Her sweet, human scent made me want to kill her, but I couldn't. I forced myself to stop, but I didn't transform back. She'd ask where Rafael was, she'd ask if I found the demons yet, she'd ask too many questions. My eyes flashed as I looked at her, and found myself climbing from the ledge and deeper into the valley. Fioritura looked both scared and uncertain. "Where's Rafael?!" she asked. "Why are you in demon form?" She didn't come closer, though. She knew I was dangerous, she knew I could kill her. "Rafael..." I said slowly. "Fled. I'm going to find him." And kill him. I turned away, but Fioritura wasn't satisfied. "If you hurt him," Fioritura growled, trying to sound threatening. "I'll leave you. You know that, don't you?" "So let it be," I replied, only half paying attention with what I was saying. I didn't realize I was being such an idiot and saying that. Fioritura immediately gasped, as she realized, or at least thought that she knew, what I was planning. "Lothario, go back into human form, please," she begged. "You don't know what you're doing."
I could hear her say the words but I was already a few hundred meters away, and still running. I wouldn't stop 'till I found Rafael. If I was in human form, maybe I would have realized what a mistake I was making. But I wasn't in human form, and my anger and hate was the only thing I could feel. Finally, yes! I could sense the fear of Rafael, I could hear him maybe a kilometer away. Perfect! The rain was getting heavier, now. The perfect time to kill. I was a monster.
