Alarm goes off, 5:30 am
I crawl sleepy eyed out of bed.
Walk out to kitchen,
You follow me.
Hey boy, I manage to say.
Grab milk, cerial, bowl and spoon,
Sit down at table.
I pour myself a bowl and start to eat.
You jump onto the table and sit in front of my bowl.
Your eyes begin to beg,
And I know what your thinking.
I finish my bowl and start to pour another,
As I pour the millk,
With your innocent eyes,
You reach out to swipe a taste.
But pull back because you were caught.
I laugh.
I pour alittle on the table,
You lap it up.
I finish my bowl, pat you on the head
And give you alittle more
Smiling as I walk away,
Thinking of my baby boy
Midnit the cat.
I crawl sleepy eyed out of bed.
Walk out to kitchen,
You follow me.
Hey boy, I manage to say.
Grab milk, cerial, bowl and spoon,
