Episodes... (Part 2)
Again.. sorry for the lack of paragraphs.

"Take two deep breaths Jack." The doctor said.
"I--I can't..." Jack said dropping his head.
"Do you need a respirator?" the doctor asked.
"No--I--it's just...painful." Jack told the doctor.
"Ok," the doctor said, "but just try, even though it hurts." Jack breathed in deeply, but staggered his breath when he breathed out.
The doctor turned to Peggy, "Have you put him on his respirator lately?"
"Um..No." Peggy answered.
"You may want to give him some air every other night. I mean it's up to you, but you might want to strongly consider it." The doctor remarked. The doctor tapped his touch screen computer a couple of times. "You can lay down now Jack." Jack nodded, and the doctor put one cold hand on Jack's bareback and on on his chest easing him down onto the bed. Jack shivered violently. The doctor put a thermometer in Jack's ear. After a few seconds it beeped four times, loudly into Jack's ear. "Hmm.." The doctor hummed, "I would give him Tylenol until his fever goes down, and continue the steroids I gave him. I'm also going to give you some more medication to take. You can pick it up at the pharmacy. Anyway, I'll see you a couple months, Jack, Peggy." And the doctor flew the coop.
Peggy helped Jack off the bed and swung his right arm over her shoulder so he had support. "I'm going to drop you off in the Astro and I'll go into the pharmacy ok?" Peggy asked Jack. Jack nodded. Peggy walked Jack back to the van and put him in the passenger's seat. She turn the air conditioner up all the way to keep the van at a freezing temperature. Peggy closed the door leaving Jack in an isolated van. Jack closed his eyes, and tried to relax.
Meanwhile Peggy walked into the pharmacy. "Prescriptions for Jackson Shire." Peggy said.
"Jackson Michael Shire?" The pharmacist asked.
"Yes." Peggy answered. The medication was handed over and Peggy left and made her way back to the van. When she opened the door Jack slid out of the van and onto the asphalt and vomited again. His pants we're soaked in vomit. Peggy frowned and opened the vans sliding door. Peggy picked Jack up and off the asphalt and onto the back seat. She handed him a trash can and he vomited. She closed the door behind her. Jack took another deep, painful breath and coughed and spat vomit into the trashcan. The Astro smelled of vomit, but Peggy had grown used to it's rancid smell. Peggy pushed Jack back, and layed him down on his back. He turned his head to the side and barfed into the trash yet again. Peggy grabbed some latex gloves from the seats pocket and slid them on her hands. She peeled Jack's drenched pants and boxers off. She knew Jack was used to her dressing him, but never did she have to wipe him down. She used a baby wipe and gently wiped Jack's legs and hips avoiding "his" area. Jack shifted uncomfortably. Peggy pulled out a pair of his spare boxers. Peggy put one of her hands under the lower half of Jack's back and pushed upward helping him arch his back. She slid his boxers on and put them in there appropriate place. Jack crossed his feet and stiffened his legs. He vomited again into the can.
"Let's go home cutie." Peggy said climbing into the front seat. Jack shuddered and turned onto his stomach.
When Jack and Peggy got to the house Jack had stopped vomiting, but he was extremely pale and weak. Peggy, as little as she was, lifted her brother from the Astro. His legs hung over one arm, and his back rested against her other. Peggy shoved her key into the doors lock and ran Jack to the bathroom.
"Do you need help?" Peggy asked Jack while she set him on the bathroom counter. Jack shook his head. "Can i at least start your bath?" Peggy asked. Jack nodded. Peggy started Jack a bath that was chilly. She felt bad, at the fact that he couldn't have a warm bath. Once the bath was filled Peggy asked "Anything else?" Jack's eyes darted off into another direction and he coughed several times. Peggy moved forward and put her hand under his chin. She got a puddle of wet mucus in her hand. Peggy washed her hands. She leaned Jack against her and helped him remove his boxers. This wasn't awkward to her, but she didn't ask Jack how he felt. She then helped Jack into the cold tub. He shivered when he hit the water. Jack held his breath and slid his head under the soapy water. After a couple of seconds he came back up shaking his brown hair like a dog, getting everything in the room wet.
"Thanks buddy!" Peggy laughed. Jack wrinkled his nose and coughed. Peggy left the bathroom, but left the door open just in case. Just as she left the door bell rang. Peggy answered it only to see her mother, Mary.
"Mom! Wh--What are you doing here." Peggy asked.
"Well, I was on my way back home from my business trip and I thought I'd stop by. Heard Jackson's had a couple of rough nights." Mary said. "So where's my baby?" Mary asked Peggy.
"Bathroom, mom." Peggy said.
"Ok, I'm only staying for the night, but I'll unpack and use the guest room." Mary said excitedly.
Mary and Peggy heard a loud cough coming from the bathroom. "I've gotta go check on him." Peggy said. Mary nodded and made her way up the stairs. Peggy made her way back to Jack.
He was hanging on for dear life to the bathroom counter top. He was almost dressed except for a shirt, which he rarely wore. Peggy walked over to him and put her hand around his hips while scooping him up as she had done before. Jack was freezing and shaking like a leaf. Peggy brought Jack into the den and dropped him on the couch. She held him against her chest, trying to warm him up. He passed out several seconds later, poor kid was drained. She laid him down on the couch. He shifted slightly and arched his back as her warm hand left him without noticeable presence. He moaned and tossed . Peggy put her hand on his forehead, pushing his bangs up. Jack relaxed and took several deep breaths. Peggy glanced at the respirator in the corner of the den. Wondering if she should put it on him. She bit her lower lip. She walked over to the respirator and pushed it over to the couch's side. She gently lifted Jack's head and slid the mask over his mouth and nose. She turned on the air, and could hear the lower psshh of the machine. Jack tossed and turned. Peggy rubbed his shoulder with her thumb. He continued to stir. Jack made an odd noise indicating he didn't want the respirator on. Peggy didn't budge, the doctor told her to do it... no matter what. Jack coughed a loud and painful cough into the mask. Peggy frowned and sat on the rocker next to the couch.
Mary walked downstairs and into the den, eying respirator. "I want that taken off! He needs to only breath air that is around him, not artificial air from a tank!" Mary whispered loudly.
"Mum.. It's doctors orders." Peggy said through clenched teeth. Jack shifted on the couch and his eyes slowly opened. Jack groaned beneath the mask. Peggy knew he hated Mary, but her never actually made that clear to her. Mary leaned over and kissed Jack's forehead. Peggy leaned over and turned the respirators air off, and again gently lifted Jack's head to slid it off. Jack slid his elbows under his back and attempted to sit himself up but her failed. Peggy lifted him up by his armpits. Once sitting up up Jack shifted his head to the side and rested it on the couch.
"How's my baby?" Mary asked Jack.
"Frikin fine!" Jack said twirling his finger sarcastically.
"Now don't give that attitude Jackson Michael Shire!" Mary said putting her hands on her hips.
"Whatever." Jack said. Mary shifted from one leg to the other.
