It begins. I'm not what you would call a typical person. I was once a normal human being. Until at the age of seven, my life changed. Voices in my head; one voice actually, that told me things I would have never known, never been interested in, things I didn't want to know at a innocent child at the age of seven.
Turns out, I have a split personality. I call her Yo, since she never did tell me her real name. Yo is the Korean word for Fox: My nickname if you haven't guessed. at the learning age she told me in a voice so sweet what I was. How I wasn't like anybody else. At first I thought, "Well duh. I come from across the world and don't look like anybody else in my neighborhood." Apparently, that wasn't what she meant.
It took many days of her talking to me to get all the things she was saying in my head. Being that young, you don't believe everything you hear. And since my parents told me the voices were just in my head, I shouldn't believe them. This person said that I was a lycanthrope: Werewolf. I laughed. Hey, I was only 7 and my parents always said those things weren't real. What would you have done?
It wasn't until the first full moon, did I start to believe. "All the other full moons before that had no effect so why should this one?" ... It was a wonderful night! I had a dream, that I walked out into a forest at night. The full moon and stars my light and other people around me, walking, talking, and laughing to each other. I didn't know any of them. I remember the cool grass crush beneath my bare feet, the crickets chirping around me, and a huge bon fire!
People of every shape and size, most fit, sat in a circle a little far from the fire, just talking to each other as if they were all friends. A few stared at me and I couldn't help but look at my feet in embarrassment and confusion. After awhile, more people showed up and soon, music began playing. It was a wierd music that I never heard before. One with drums and singing, howling, and laughing. I didn't know what was going on until most of the people around the fire jumped from their seats and began to dance around the fire!
Being the only one my age I was nervous to dance but i wanted to. Everyone was into the music, whether dancing or just sitting but tapping their feet or swaying their bodies. But I was afraid of what the people will think of me. That was when two people, dancing, pulled me up and toward the fire, ushering me to dance with them. They were smiling at me and they seemed friendly enough so how could I not.
I didn't know what to do at first. I danced all teh time back home but by myself. I didn't really know how other people danced. But it didn't matter to them. They were just going a circle around the fire, jumping and howling, having a fun time. Soon I followed them, skipping and laughing. This made the other people sitting around smile. Guess they thought I was cute or something.
It was all fun until some people started to shake. Shiver is more the word. They were behind the people sitting down and they didn't seemed in pain. They were laughing. I ignored them , thinking it was some game grown-ups did but my attention turned from dancing to them. They fell on the gorund behind the people, away from my sight to where I couldn't see them.
