Welcome to the Jak's Pokemon corner
Here I will post random movesets and explanations of said movesets. You may comment, but I will report trolls and I only care for constructive criticism if any. Also note, all strategies are based for in game use and therefore are not necessarily as useful in online battles. You'll notice I never use moves like taunt and that is because only a human is smart enough to use status moves to give them the edge, or at least this is my experience.
Hydreigon
Nature:Modest,Rash or Mild
Ability: Levitate (ground does x0)
Item:Choice Scarf
Move set:
Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor
Darkpulse/Earthpower
U-turn
Fireblast
Evs: 4att/252spatt/252spd
Summary: This is a simple little Hydreigon set I found on Smogon and tweaked to my own liking. It's really simple to use. The choice scarf gives Hydreigon a 1.5x boost to it's speed and limits it to one move. Luckily with it's special attack and 2 possible stabs to use this isn't a really bad thing. The speed boost from the scarf will make Hydreigon really hard to counter in battle since it almost guarantees a first strike.
Fireblast, Earthpower, Darkpulse, Dragonpulse, and Draco Meteor are all self explanitory. 3 of the moves get stab making them very powerful, earthpower has great type coverage and fireblast has great coverage and it is strong. You can't go wrong using these moves on a Hydreigon. If you run the draco meteor option you may want to switch after use, so having a walling pokemon in reserve is a must.
Finally U-turn. Why use it? You get to hit the opponent and switch at the same time. Essentially you get to do 2 things in one turn, so you aren't wasting the turn you want to switch in. Running a choice scarf and U-turn means that Hydreigon would make a good lead in a 3 pokemon battle subway team. When you send it out and your opponent has something you don't like you just U-turn back Hydreigon and send out something else.
Bastiodon
Nature: Impish, Relaxed
Ability: Sturdy (cannot die in one hit)
Item: leftovers/lum berry
Move set:
Toxic
Rest[
Earthquake/Stone edge
Metal Burst
Evs: 252hp/4def/252spdef
Summary: Bastiodon is a perfect wall pokemon. It has a lot of defence and no speed so it is best to play it's strength, which is standing around getting the hell beaten out of it. Toxic and rest are the 2 big parts for this set. Toxic does a lot of damage over time to the opponent, which helps Bastiodon KO pokemon no one else on your team can take on. While it sits and waits for the poison to knock the foe out, Bastiodon can rest to heal. Resting heals status conditions and hp so if this guy gets burned you can rest to heal. Also it can restore it's lost health this way too.
Earthquake is a reliable move for Bastiodon. You can't go wrong with it. Also earthquake can help to take out both poison and steel types whom are immune to the effects of toxic. If you want a STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) move use stone edge instead. Either way the moves aren't going to do much to the foe. Toxic is the main focus of this set.
Metal Burst wraps up the rest of the package. It allow Bastiodon to counter anything that does damage to it. Because of sturdy and Bastiodon's two x4 weaknesses (ground and fighting) this could potentially be a one hit ko to some foes to Bastiodon's two greatest weakness.
Thundurus
Nature: Anything that doesn't lower speed, or special attack
Ability: Prankster
Item: Life orb
Move set:
Thunder wave
Thunderbolt/Volt switch
Focus Blast
Psychic/Darkpulse/Grassknot
Evs: 4hp/252spatt/252spd
Summary: While Thundurus is certainly capable of pulling off a physical move set I decided to go special with it. Surprisingly I didn't use a nasty plot set though. I think I will write about that later. Anyways, Thundurus has the amazing ability prankster. This ability gives all status moves first move priority. This means all status moves go first almost all the time. This is why I gave it thunder wave. You know those pesky super fast pokemon you can never seem to get rid of because they always speed sweep you? Well screw 'em. Prankster give thunder wave first hit priority so you can paralyze those guys and start beating them with Thundurus or your other pokemon.
Thunderbolt is a strong special stab that works well for Thundurus. Volt switch offers the ability to hit and switch, which is always good, but it has a lot less power than thunderbolt.
Focus blast is just a tank move. It may not be the most accurate, but if you use it once in a while to take out that pesky rock or ice pokemon you will love it. You can only go wrong with focus blast if you use it a lot.
For the final move slot give Thundurus one of it's other good special attack options. Psychic makes up for the lack of a good flying STAB move being able to take out fighting types. Dark pulse isn't the greatest option, but it lets you take out ghost and psychic with super effective hits as well as gives Thundurus the odd flinch attack. Grass knot helps to take out water, ground and rock. With focus blast already in your arsenal, as well as an electric move and an immunity to ground moves it is probably not the best option, but if your team has a major weakness to ground types you should definitely use it over the other 2.
Hope that made sense...May edit it when I re-read it for errors later.
Togekiss
Nature: Modest/Timid
Ability: Serene Grace
Item: King's Rock or Leftovers
Move set:
Thunder wave
Air slash
Aura sphere
Morning Sun
Evs: 4hp/252spatt/252spd
Summary: This is why Togekiss is regarded so highly despite it's adorable appearance. This is Togekiss rocking the para-flinch strategy.
Thunder wave paralyzes the foes. This slows their speed as well as there being a 1/4 (I don't believe that, but the internet says it is true) of the opponent losing the ability to attack each turn. You do this first to anything you can't take out in one hit.
Air slash is what you follow thunder wave with. Air slash has a 30% chance of causing the foe to flinch. Unfortunately for whatever you are facing, Togekiss has serene grace. This doubles the chance of added effects working. So the foe has a 1/4 chance of not being able to attack, plus a 60% chance of flinching. If you give Togekiss a kings rock that goes up by 8-12.5% (flinching). Basically you trap the foe in a state where they can't do anything.
Aura sphere never misses and offers great coverage for Togekiss's crappy flying type weaknesses to rock and ice while morning sun heals a tired Togekiss so it can continue it's rampage of death.
Tyranitar
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Sandstream
Item: N/A (up to you)
Move set:
Crunch
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Hone Claw/ Dragon Dance/Rock Polish
Evs: 4hp/252att/252spd
Summary: A very basic design for a really heavy hitting pokemon. With 2 Stab moves and earthquake this thing can kick the crap out of a lot of pokemon with very little strain on itself.
Sandstream starts up an infinite sandstorm which boosts this guys special defence by 1.5 times as well as lowering the foes health every turn. If Tyranitar wasn't already a giant threat before this ability it is now.
Earthquake is one of the best moves in the game sporting super effective hits on 5 types. Stone edge and Crunch are both equally powerful moves with a STAB boost of 1.5x to their already high powers (100:=150 and 80:=120, respectively). Not much can get by this giant lizard without taking damage.
Last move is up to preference. If you don't trust stone edge's 80% accuracy use hone claw to raise accuracy as well as attack power. Dragon dance offers a 1.5x speed and attack boost, which is really nice. Rock polish doesn't raise Tyranitar's already insane attack, but it does double it's lack luster speed by 2x after one use. This opens up sweeping possibilities.
Garchomp
Nature: Jolly/Adamant
Ability: Sand veil
Item: N/A (up to you)
Move set:
Outrage/Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Swords Dance
Stone Edge/Fireblast
Evs: 4hp/ 252att/252speed
Summary: If you are going to use Garchomp be smart about it. While this pokemon may seem great it is not perfect. I'm especially overly critical of Garchomp because I've had poor experiences using it in the past. Anyways, if you are going to use Garchomp use it with and after you've sent Tyranitar out into battle. This will activate it's sand veil ability boosting it's evasion by 20%. That is very useful and can help one set up Garchomp with double attack from swords dance.
The rest of this set is self explanatory to anyone who knows the basics of pokemon. Outrage and Earthquake are massive STAB moves that can KO most pokemon after a single swords dance. Dragon claw is an option for those of you who don't want to breed Garchomp or hate moves that lock you. Either way this thing can basically destroy anything with those moves.
For the final move slot I had trouble finding something worth using. After you double Garchomp's attack and give it 2 amazing stab moves what is left? Well next to nothing. Stone edge works to take out ice pokemon with your attack boost while Fireblast offers a more accurate way to deal with ice, but it does not get any boost from swords dance or your Ev training.
