Watching the Macy's Fireworks Spectacular. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!!!!!
On another note, I had a really cool time a few weeks ago. We left on June the 3rd for the Inman Family Reunion (my grandmother's family), then we went to a Doug Bruce concert in Aubrey, Texas (he's a huge country star, born in Aubrey, but based in Australia) and then... the sad part. My Papaw's funeral at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. We left his ashes at the wall out there and we got a flag Then, we stayed at my Aunt Mickey's house for 2 weeks and helped her set up, run, and tear down her garage sale. After that ordeal was over (her smelly, loud chihuahua follows her wherever she goes!) I left to join the Odessa High School Harpists in Dallas for a mini-concert at Good Records music store. We then went on to Denton for the American Harp Society conference there, and I learned all sorts of great things about Celtic harp, the Japanese koto, and harp in television and movies. After that, we played a concert at The Kessler Theater in Dallas (look us up on YouTube!), went to Six Flags for a day, and drove home. By the time we came back, we were all ready to kill each other, biggrin but the trip was great. It really took my mind off of my dear departed grandfather, that's for sure. Rest in peace, Papaw.
