First thing in the morning, Daniel stormed into Jenny's office. Kristen's look of disapproval was still in the front of his mind. He was ready to end this, now, whatever the outcome may be. "I've made my mind." Jenny looked up from papers she had been working on. She set her pen down gently and took a deep breath. "What do you mean, Danny Jay?" "Don't call me that," he replied sharply. "Daniel-" "No!" He slammed his fist on Jenny's desk. She jumped back, surprised. "I'm done!" Jenny said nothing for a moment, just staring at Daniel's fuming. "You know what this means, right?" "Of course I do." They stood there in awkward silence for a few seconds, then Daniel turned to go. "Bye. I'm sorry it had to end this way." Daniel looked back at Jenny, and it almost seemed that she meant it. Almost. As he left the building, hopefully never to return, he hoped he wouldn't regret what he had just done.
When Willow woke up, for once she had expected to find herself in the Protectors' hideout. She hadn't dreamed of her old home; her dreams had all been dark and confusing. She expected to wake up in an uncomfortable bed, to Linda's cheerful, if groggy, goodmorning.
