Diary of a Critic
Just about the daily things I think about which my friends either don't want to hear or just don't understand.
Two Can Keep a Secret if One of Them is Dead
The way I see it, trust is an entirely foolish sentiment. Here's why.

No matter how close you are to someone, how much they mean to you, you to them, you will never be their 100%. There's always someone else they feel some loyalty to; parents, siblings, partners, best friends. You can't be all of these things to a person, so you can never be their one and only confident.

So, eventually, any secret you share will get out. Be it to someone entirely inconsequential who you'll never meet, or to a parent 'for your own good', it will get out. There's no stopping it.

Unless you keep it firmly locked inside.

Plus, contrary to popular belief, I do not in any way feel talking about your problems help. Once you tell someone something, it is no longer just a thought, an idea, it's The Thing. It's It. The Issue. It has gained solidity, substance, now it's all anyone will think about when they look at you.

It's not private anymore, you can't deny it anymore. It's out there, never to be put back in. Soon everyone will know, and you'll be ********.
