What had caused it? No one could seem to figure it out; were they alive, because they were pureblood? It was a possibility; but what about their friends? Not all of their friends had been pureblood. So who was alive? What about the loves that they had held for the unlikely half-bloods..? The two blondes stood at the edge of the world, it seemed, as a chasm lay before them… The howling of wind through it, like moaning screams of horror, calling out to them for help, but… it was just the wind.
"L-let's go… Enough has been done here." the female stated; the male just looked forward at that chasm. Thoughts running through his head so thoroughly that the female could have sworn she saw each one pass through his eyes, each assumption of what had happened more depressing than the last. Those blue eyes so full of sorrow by the end… Alexus, reached to his hand and took it in her own, "Hey, we'll find him… Don't worry, we'll find everyone. Surely she didn't kill them all." Alex looked over to her then, cold blue eyes, "Right…" he replied. Simple. Short. She knew that he had every thought possible, running rampant through his mind, so she decided to take that as a response. She turned, stepping over so she could still keep his hand held tightly; and her heart sunk slightly, when she finally felt him grip her hand in return. No amount of Bertie-Bott's Every Flavoured Beans would help the situation now…
No words were said past then. The grip tightened slightly on their hands, and the world spun and warped around them. They came out of the warped space to stand in front of the Malfoy Manor. They went forward, and entered the home… There were a few other homes standing around it, but not many… And a few of them had been demolished because their defences weren't strong enough, and those inside, weren't of pureblooded descent. "Mother; we're back." Alexus called. Her mother had come forward, joined by Alex's mother, Julia, it brought up a bit of concern in Alex's eyes, but it was calmed when his mother spoke a simple "Hope is playing upstairs." He nodded. "How did it go..?" "Nothing's left to the east. She destroyed it all." "Aiden?" "Tomas?" Alexus and Alex looked to their mothers, then let their gazes drop nearly in sync. "We're unsure of their whereabouts." "They're likely not dead, however. We're going to keep searching for clues. She said, that the half-bloods would be given more of a chance than the Muggle-borns. So we're going to look for Tomas first." Alexus' eyes closed then, as she let her grip on Alex's hand tighten. When he squeezed right back, it nearly brought tears to her eyes, knowing what she was about to say. "Aiden's a Half-blood... He would be put to work as a slave to the Pures who agree with her mad plans. Tomas on the other hand... Might just be killed." The thought was unfortunately hopeful for Aiden. It was the only time she had hoped for either of the mentioned males to be put into slavery. Especially Aiden. The maddened former Slytherin had gone too far this time… Alexus would see that she pay for her actions. "I will hel-" "No. You won't help. You'll stay here. With Julia. Look over Hope… It is sad that Medea and Aunt Claris have left, yes, but you must make sure that Hope is safe." Alexus' mother nodded, and turned to Julia, "Of course, I will help in this way… Do hurry back, Lexi. I would hate to lose you, as well… Not just my beloved Sister and niece." "You won't have to worry about losing us in the same way, Morgana." Alex assured her, but that didn't leave the option of death closed. He had simply promised that they wouldn't be driven to madness and side with the Dark Ones. Their mothers gave them each a hug for luck and love, and the two stepped outside just enough to be zipped into nothingness, shipped off to another area through apparition. "Alex and Lexi are gone already..? I didn't even get to…" "They'll be back… come on Hope, why don't you come down here, and play with us, for a while." "O… Okay!"
Alexus and Alex found themselves at another land of waste. The stench of burning bodies was sickening, and the rubble was nearly too much to bear looking at. Finally, they let go of each others' hands, and started walking down the barren street, wands at the ready. Their foot steps echoed hauntingly through the streets, when they weren't drowned out by the sound of crumbling structures, falling the last few blocks, to nothing but a heap. "Where do… Where do we start?" "I'm not sure… But… Anywhere is better than no where." She could only nod a simple reply. Taking a deep breath, Alexus gripped her wand a little tighter, and kept walking...
