Glimmering sapphire eyes opened slowly, the surroundings were… comforting, like home. There was a lit fireplace to one side of the room… Laying upon a comfortable, cushioned bed, blonde hair, covered the vision that was slowly coming back. Their head turned and a smile appeared. There was a man sitting at the bed side, a smile on his lips, as well, a little bigger than the one laying down… "So, finally awake, are you?" It was Aiden, smiling over the blonde.
"Mm… Yeah. I'm awake… W-.. Where's-" "Alex is fine, just rest now. You took quite the beating, why were you even out there?" Alexus thought for a moment, trying to remember what happened completely, shaking her head lightly "I was… Looking for Tomas, with Alex…" He gave a smug smirk, "Ah right, of course not me." The look he got then, however, was one that basically said that if she had the energy, she'd have hit him. Hard. He just chuckled a little at her. Alexus gave a smirk of her own, and closed her eyes for a moment, "Of course not. Why would I look for you?" So, it was back to their school days, was it? He could play like that, too… "Then I guess you don't want the Everyflavoured beans I got you. Shame, I'll have to eat them myself. Or maybe I'll just leave you the bad ones." That's when he got the reaction he had anticipated. Large blue eyes gazing up at him from the bed, a slight pout on her face. "You wouldn't." was all she could think to say then, and he just laughed a little more.
He let that smirk fade a bit, and placed the bag of jelly beans on the bedside table for her, and shook his head; "You could have died…" "I know." "So why were you there? We were fine." She looked over at him, rolling in the bed then, onto her side, and outstretched her hand - he took it gently. "I needed to make sure…" She paused, those eyes just staring at him. "I mean… with how things have been lately, I… I just needed to be sure that…" he shook his head and she stopped talking. They sat in silence, just looking at one another. "Aiden, I-"
"Hope we aren't interrupting anything too important." "Indeed! It seems that our little bella durmiente has finally woken up!" The two others walked into the room, taking their place at Alexus' side, opposite to Aiden. She smiled up to them and nodded; "Yeah, I'm up, I… I'm fine. Don't worry about me! Haha, it's like I said… You could… barely call it a spell!" Alex knew, however, that that particular statement had been to a minor stunning spell… However now she was talking about the Cruciatus Curse. They had both taken a hit, he knew, but she had been under it a little longer than him, and the witch who had hit Alexus, had been a bit more powerful than the one who had hit him. Alex took a seat on the side of her bed, and looked down at her, taking the hand that Aiden didn't have. "Cocky as always. Maybe you are alright." It was with that, he reached over her to the bedside table and took the small pouch of jellybeans and slipped one out, then into his mouth, "Thanks for sharing." "Ah! Hey, those are mine!" she whined trying to hit him, but had both of her hands restricted by the two males on either side. Though they weren't holding tightly she couldn't move them easily either way. With a heavy sigh, Alexus frowned and looked at nothing, away from both of them, a small "Not fair." escaping her lips, managing to make all three males in the room with her, laugh.

Later on, they had managed to get Alexus up and out of bed. Once downstairs, they met with her mother, and Alex's mother and sister in the den. "Thank goodness you've woken up, Alexus." "Yeah, I'm fine… Don't worry about it. You think that's enough to stop me? Hah!" However, her overconfident tone, had earned her a frown; "I'm sorry, Mother. I didn't mean to worry you." "The good news is, you're all alive and well, now." "Indeed, I agree." "Well, without you two showing up, we might have been…" Tomas nodded, but the look in his eyes showed that the thought alone, was one thing he didn't want on his mind. Even if it hadn't happened, it had a chance. And that's what he was scared of. "So wait… Where are your families?" The reaction she got then, weren't the ones she had been hoping for… "We're not sure… to be honest. My father was taken away by the Dark Ones, and mother… well, she went after them, I assume." "Si, and mine are both muggles. They were taken… I am unsure of their status right now." A determined look came across the Malfoy's face, and her mother instantly put a hand on her shoulder; "You can't. Lexi, you can't go-" "We have to." "Surely you can rest a little longer…" She shook her head quickly, "There's no time. We can't wait around here any longer."
"You're… Not going again, are you..?" came the sweet voice, of Alex's little sister, Hope. She rubbed her eyes a bit, as she woke up. It was quite late now, after all… She had been sleeping; "We… Didn't get to play yet." Alex's eyes shifted to his sister then, as did everyone else's… "I know Hope… But… We have to go." the young girl shook her head hard and got up from her place, as though all the tiredness had left her at once, and lunged herself at her older brother. "No you don't! You don't have to go! You came back last time, but… but you wouldn't talk to me! Neither would Lexi!"
The room went silent for a moment then… Hope spoke once more, "I like it more, when you talk to me… And when you play with me…" "I… I know, Hope…" "Hope..?" "I want to play more…" Alexus reached over, placing a hand on the younger girl's shoulder lightly. "I… I promise we'll be back. We can play more, then… Alright?" It was obvious that the response Alexus had given was less than satisfactory for the young Matthews girl, but she didn't seem to have a choice but to let them go. She shook her head and went back over to Julia's side on the other couch, and Alexus, Alex, Aiden and Tomas rose from their seats. "We'll be back, Hope." "Mm. Until then, you just have to keep Julia and Morgana safe." "Can you do that for us, Hope?" The young girl looked up at them, tears in her eyes and eventually, nodded once. "Y-yeah!" "… Good girl."
The four then stood together, and though Julia and Morgana had given disapproving looks toward their recently conscious children, they knew that there was no holding them back… Not now. "We'll be back before you know it." then they were gone...
