Time passed over Hogwarts, and all was silent for quite some time, however… There were stirrings in the feelings of those there, that elsewhere, there was definitely trouble…
"Tell me, now, where are they?" came a fairly calm voice. Dark, pin-straight hair flowing down over the shoulders of a dark-robed woman, her wand no where to be seen. Was she a threat? It didn't seem like it, just looking at her. She was tall, but she was slender, and didn't appear to be armed. So what was the harm..? "I will not tell you!" The dark-haired woman smiled faintly and shook her head; "That was the wrong answer." she stated in a calm manner, stepping closer to the woman who had spoken. Her hand rose, and she delivered a swift slap across the woman's face, her own calm expression changing only slightly. Her green eyes seemed to almost glow with anger, but her face itself, stayed calm. "I will ask you once more…" "Je ne vais pas vous dire... Où ma fille set…"(I will not tell you… Where my daughter is…) "Then you are a foolish woman. Avada Kedavra." she spoke softly, uttering those words that she knew weren't necessary, even drawing her wand for an added effect, striking the woman down where she stood. "We'll find her anyways… You might have been spared, had you just cooperated. She's holding a very crucial piece of merchandise that we need…" she whispered to the woman who was now on the floor. A smirk across her ever-calm lips. "Miss Riddle!" she turned to face who spoke to her, "We think we might have found them." Her smirk grew slightly as she looked to the man reporting to her and nodded; "Good. We need them both alive. Show me where."
It wasn't far that they had to travel, before they came to a small cave in a cliff side by the ocean. Franziska was at the front of the group, of course, with five Dark Ones at her tail. The five had their wands out, but the young lady in leading them saw no need. A few cast Lumos to light their way through the cave. It was damp, and, to her, smelled like half breeds… "We're getting close…" she stated, her eyes shifting every so often, the others just nodded in response. Rocks fell around them every so often, but nothing to worry about. She watched one skip along the wall then roll across the floor of the cave, but continued walking forward. They came to a rather dark area of the cave, and heard a sharp hissing sound, accompanied by a low growl. "Diomedes, if you come with us now, there won't be any harm to your precious Miss Verrier." she spoke out. The hiss grew louder, then everything went silent. The six Dark Ones stopped, looking into the darkness. They all Noxed their Lumos spells, and waited in the darkness.
Minutes passed, but it felt like hours as they lay waiting… Then a hiss came forward again, along with a bright light from one of the tunnels. "There you are… How nice of you to show us the right path." she said softly, starting her steps again, signalling for the others behind her not to cast Lumos, and to keep their steps as quiet as possible. The light grew brighter as it came closer, and with a simple flick of her hand, it was stopped, and disappeared.
The hissing and growl grew louder as they continued through the cave, and another light came at them; stopped with relative ease by Franziska. Obviously he knew they were closer now; she decided to speak. "I'm disappointed in you, Diomedes. To think you were a professor for Defence Agains the Dark Arts class…" there was more silence as a reply, "Come now, you don't even want to speak to a former student? It's been quite some time, Diomedes."
The came close to a wall; she could tell by the echo of her voice; and stopped. She waved her hand through the darkness, and a couple men cast Lumos once more, revealing who was there… Franziska's eyes narrowed a bit, her smirk fading to a scowl as she looked over the small woman garbed in a corset and skirt. Shoulder-length brown hair and matching eyes gazing up at Franziska, with her wand out. "What iz it zat you want..?" "What do you think that I want..? I want that overgrown snake of yours." She smirked a bit again. The girl wouldn't be a problem to take. They just needed to find Mexxia… "Now, be a good girl and tell us where he's hiding." Jocelin's eyes narrowed, and her wand rose quite quickly toward Franziska. "And if I do not do az you say?" "I'll kill you; just as I did your pathetic mother, father, and sister." "Ma Mère... Père... Ja… Jacqueline…" her eyes closed a moment and her wand faltered slightly before in an instant had it up and pink, glittering flames coming up around Franziska, eyes focused on her. "Wit' zem all gone, you can not t'ink I would let you take ze only one close to me left… can you?" she spoke with fair confidence, but there was a weakness to her tone, as well. She swallowed hard and the flames went in around them, Franziska just laughed as the flames consumed her. At least… Jocelin thought they consumed her. She stepped out of the darkness then, from Joce's side, and placed a hand on her shoulder. "And you can not be so foolish as to think I didn't see that coming." her eyes shifted to the ground then… An emerald goblet was sitting behind Joce's feet… "Well well, what have we here…?" she asked, reaching down to pick it up, but getting a knee to the chest from Joce, who had spun quite quickly, all at once, having the goblet grow in size as it was surrounded by pink sparkles, and it formed into Mexxia once more, his own wand pointed at Franziska then. "Missss Riddle… alwaysss a pleasure." he said with a low growl, that familiar hiss sounding out again at her, fangs bared.
The woman's eyes rose to meet with the half-basilisk and just shook her head, both of their wands pointed at her. She just… laughed a little more. It started as a little giggle, then grew in the sounds of delight as she stood back up proper, after getting kneed by Jocelin. "So… this is how it will be? Shame… I was hoping to get you both alive~ Unfortunately one is going to have to die." her green eyes flickered to Jocelin, and Mex's wand flicked slightly, knocking her back. However it was after he did that, that the other five Dark Ones showed themselves, surrounding the two. "Je t'aime… Mexxia."(I love you… Mexxia.) He simply smirked in reply, his tongue flickering out a moment through those smirk-curled lips, tail coiling slightly around her, "Je t'aime aussssi, mais n'abandonnez pas tout de sssuite…"(I love you too, but don't give up just yet…) she nodded slightly and took a deep breath. All was silent for only a moment, save Franziska's slowly growing laughter once more, but after that the bursts of sound echoed out through the cave's tunnels. Spells flying toward the two, reflecting off and having more sent out through the barriers set by them. Standing back-to-back protecting one another as promised. Lights and bolts flying every-which way, as they slowly made their way down the tunnels, having gotten passed the one Dark One that had been blocking their way; now being backed out of the cave slowly, while defending each others' lives.
The looks on their faces were that of exhaustion by the time they had managed to get near the mouth of the cave. None too long after they began the battle had Franziska joined them. She was still walking casually, of course, forward, shooting off spells. It was strenuous, of course, as all of their spells were aimed for Jocelin, rather than Mex, save a few disarming spells to try and get him to stop protecting her. They came to the mouth of the cave; though it was a much different exit than that which the Dark Ones had entered through… The two were backed to a cliffside a couple hundred feet above the water. They looked to one another and smiled, reaching out, taking each others' hands and then looked back to the others, keeping up shields, but casting instead of at the people, at the ceiling of the cave. a quick bombarda from both of them, and they turned quickly, jumping off the edge of the cliff, and plummeting straight down, into the water below.
Curses flew from the Dark Ones and as they attempted to Bombarda their way out of the cave, Franziska sighed with annoyance and apparated out of the cave, up to the top of the cliff. She looked down off the side, to the water below. Just in time to see the splashes of the two going under. There was no way she was going to catch them, if they were in the water… For now, she just had to think like them… Where would they go from here, if Jocelin's family was dead…?
