Glowing green eyes stayed locked on the water a moment, as the woman's senses spread. She needed to be able to find out where they were… how far they had gone already; where they planned to go afterward. Those haunting hues scanned across the ocean's expanse, and then… over to the west, she smirked. A splash of water in the distance. The sun was reflecting across the waves in a golden-red shimmering line; had it been a different situation, surely it would have been lovely to see. Romantic with a partner; yet Franziska didn't seem to care. The sun was simply getting in her eyes. With a huff, the woman, started walking farther west, along the cliff-side, keeping her eyes on the water. The sun was working in the others' favour… She didn't like that. Not one bit.
Another splash; her hand shot forward and her wand seemed to shoot into her grasp. As the flow continued a spell was shot instantly from the end of the wand. A shot of transparent magick went flying toward the water, and landed in another large splash… Her steps were quickened, along the cliff side before she found it too slow and aparated farther down the cliffside; taking a few more steps toward the edge, she looked down to the waves, and let out a low, smooth hissing sound; her green eyes seemed to glow slightly; but nothing… She threw another spell toward the water and jumped off the cliff-side, landing on the shore below, levitating for a moment, to ease her fall and she landed with a click of her heeled boots. A spell flew toward her, but she let out a soft "Crucio!" her wand shot off the spell with ease toward where the spell at her had come from, straight through their spell and hitting it's target. A wide smirk grew across her lips, and she gave another small hiss, as she strengthened the curse on the body of who she hit. Hissing from the water soon grew in response; the hissing forming long, whispered words toward one another, and Franziska knew that she would get him soon enough.
A sparkle of pink showed itself under the surface and she just smirked wider; her green eyes shifted then; her hand outstretched toward the shimmer of pink and shot off another curse toward her without breaking the concentration on that toward her initial target.
Jocelin's eyes widened slightly as she was struck by the same curse that she had witnessed her love endure. She curled up in the water; and the curse slowly stopped on Mexxia as she called out to him once more in that smooth, tantalizing hiss, he emerged from the water slowly with another hiss of his own, and an odd look in his eyes. Slitted orange hues looked into Franziska's odd glowing green, and she let out one last hiss, as her hand lowered from it's aim at Jocelin, and the half-basilisk took his place at the Dark One's side. She let out a little giggle, and Jocelin slowly came up to the surface of the water; looking up at the two of them on the shore. She swam quickly toward land and stood once the water was shallow enough though pain was apparent in her eyes the whole time. As she began running steps with blurred vision, she was taken down to her knees once more. She curled up with a high-pitched scream and tears running down her face; The curse's name had not been said that time, which left the horrible thought in her mind of who it might have been. Her vision grew more blurred as tears welled in her eyes, the screams of agony coming forth; and then it stopped. Not the pain, but the growth of it. Her eyes looked up, as orange-flecked eyes looked down on her. She noted the blue in them and reached out her hand toward him slowly; though Franziska made sure the curse continued. "M-Mexxia s'il vous plaît ..... S'il… S'il vous plaît cour-… courier ... Aller sur ... sans m-moi …"(Mexxia please..... Please run... Go on... without me…) She received no response at first; but another scream came out of her as Franziska's curse strengthened once more. And he spoke… "Je ne vais pas vous laisssser ... J'ai promisss de vous protéger."(I will not leave you… I promised to protect you.) "N-non… aller…!"
He turned toward Franziska, but she caught his eyes and smirked; a smooth hiss emitting from her as he fought against her commands. The screams of Jocelin making his urge to simply kill Franziska on the spot; but her tantalizing tone of Parseltongue calling out in his mind stopped him. He was conflicted - his instincts were refusing to cooperate with his thoughts. Another soft hiss seemed to keep him under control a little better. She smirked and gave another soft hissing sentence and Mex's body turned toward Jocelin; who was sobbing, outstretched across the sandy shore, waves at her feet. She looked up one last time as the curse was stopped, and she was picked up slowly by Mexxia.
The familiarness of that hold was gone… He was holding her much differently… She wanted to be happy to be in his arms, yet it wasn't long before she felt another pain. She looked over to her shoulder… A place she would often times willingly let him rest his head; her mind had expected a nuzzle, yet when she looked to see; her vision blurred even more, and she knew that the black she could see… was the venom of a basilisk fang running over her pale skin, accompanied by her blood. 'Mexxia…' she thought, as she felt those arms around her tighten only for a moment in a familiar sense, and her body fell to the ground, limp. Her eyes closed slowly in a blink; opened again in time to see him turn, and his tail, trailing behind in a slither at Franziska's side.
