I don't really like New Years, to be honest. I find it to be super annoying, and to be frank, also a bit scary. A whole new year for good memories of certain days to be overridden with bad ones. Another year for the world to change in ways that I don't want. But, there have also been years that started off bland, or even possibly negative, that brought me some of the most welcome changes. I kind of know what I want from myself this coming year, but the part of me that is cynical is already in the bomb shelter, making me wonder if anything will work out. But like it or not, I can't stop anything from changing. I just have to go for it.
Tonight will probably include praying, making Italian cream sodas, and shooting off fireworks. I hope it be a good start to an even better year, for you and me.
