So, this week I went to the comic store and picked up the first issue of Rival Schools from Udon. Udon's an american company who have mainly been doing comics based on Capcom video games. I get to the end of the book, flip through the ads and what do I see?
That. It's the cover for the upcoming release of Onimusha: Night of Genesis. The first translated manga to be handled by Udon. In Japan, it was apparently an official comic tie in to created by Mitsuru Ohsaki.
It's a prequel to the latest Onimusha game, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, and features backstory for several of the characters. Word is that they're also planning to publish the follow up, Twilight of Desire, later on this year as well.
The first volume is about 200 pages, and will be going for about $13 and is scheduled to be released on May 25th.
