YAY!!! we're in taiwan now!! AND we have the 2 boys. Chin yen (David) the younger one and Po Chia (Daniel) the older one. We are staying in a hotel in Taipei! I am so happy!!! But now I'm super worried about everything, too. Cause now I'm a big sister to 3 kids!! At least, my little sister is also a big sister, so now her time with them is a big game of Monkey-see-Monkey-do (Daniel is more of the monkey). Serves her right. She actually has to watch what she's doing.
Anyway, Taiwan is pretty cool...apart from the unfamilliar smells of sewage gas, cigarette smoke, exaust, humidity, and rain (it was raining earlier). So...life is much fun now. A huge adventure. Just what I've been asking for the past few years...Be careful what you wish for...99.8(repeating) percent it will come true, if you hope for it long enough. Then you need to ask yourself if you're ready to handle it. Or, that's what I had to do...Then again, I'm a bit...off.
So, about the boys. The younger one was more scared yesterday, when we got them. He's the quiet, smart one, while the older one is more outgoing and loud. Hyper, to some degree...Did I mention we don't speak the same language?? The boys speak Mandarin Chinese and a bit of english, while we speak English and a bit of Mandarin. This makes it harder, but we survive by using our...handy-dandy flashcards!! There's 4 sheets of boxes of English phrases translated into Chinese (or vice-versa) and when they want something, they point to what they want and there's the English transltion, so we're not completely lost. WOO HOO!!! And now that we have what we came for, I want to go back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
