Current flows through his body, leaving behind that exhilarating buzz and a tingle in his forearms. He watches, silent and still, as the sparks from his fingers race down the metal banister, dissipating upon reaching the wooden frame down the spiral staircase. He sighs, tilting his head back to gaze at the tall, blank ceiling for the last time in ... who knows how long? It wouldn't matter regardless. This place will be as desolate as it is now upon his return.
Static shocks him as he runs his hand through his dark hair, but he feels no pain. The world was the same dreary grey of the small clouds he could call to him at will. Accepted to an incredibly prestigious school was, He hadn't bothered to dress up for his departure. He'd slept in the same clothes the night before.
