Chapter 3: The Wall
This was it. The big one. Simply put, this was a big a** hill. "The Wall". Whoever made it up this hill was considered a true endurance runner. The hill was steeper than the stairs in your house. As you pushed yourself up to the top, you felt immense pain in your knees, the rapid beat of your heart pumping blood throughout your body, the sweat running down your face burning into your eyes and the shine of the sun made you want to tremble. But as soon as you made it to the top, you felt an enormous sense of accomplishment. You knew that you could take on any challenge. My coach said, "Congratulations, you made it up 'The Wall', time to go back down.
