After months of research in Meltokio, Sheena's friends were finally able to figure out the cause of my magic spiraling out of control whenever I get sick. I'm no biologist, so I could only grasp the general idea, but basically my body naturally releases more mana when I'm sick. I'm not used to controlling that much mana at once, so when I use magic, it gets out of hand. I guess this is a rare condition that only affects some half-elves, but it turns out I can use it to my advantage.
They gave me some exercises to practice to increase my concentration when my body releases more mana so I can control my magic even when I'm sick. I've been practicing every day since then, and I feel confident that I can put more power into my spells and control them properly in combat whether I'm sick or not. I need to find a place to practice though. Raine says I'm not allowed to do magic anywhere near the house now since I keep destroying her relics. Maybe I can practice near Triet. I can't ruin anything in the desert, right?
On a more annoying note, Mighty challenged me again. He says he has a new offensive spell that's way more powerful than Absolute. He seems really confident, but I'm a lot stronger than I was the last time we fought, and I also have a new technique I've been saving. It'll be a lot easier to break through his defense this time. It still needs improvement though, so I'm gonna ask Mithos for help in a few days when the moon is full again, and I'll see if Sheena and Celsius will help me train against ice techniques. This time, I'll be more prepared for that defensive fighting style of his.
