So aside from the mess on Saturday I did get some things done last week.
I really wanted to scour YouTube for some tips on how to supplement the growth of my hairline and found some interesting leads. Two of the most important takeaways being:
1. Mix a few essential oils and try it out. It should help, but it might take a few months to really see some results. I'm going to try this "serum" created by this Black YouTuber that mixes a bunch of essential oils but also has a DHT blocking agent that prevents the enzyme known as DHT to attach and weaken hair follicles. I'll probably add a bit of avocado oil and maybe a few more drops of peppermint oil to his mix. I noticed that my hair responds well to protein and avocado has a ton of natural proteins. I'll buy a three-pack of the serum today.
2. It might get worse before it gets better. I stumbled across this one YouTuber's video where at about the 3 month mark of trying keeps he noticed his hairline was the worse it has ever been but by month 4-5, he started seeing results. Interestingly enough, I'm at about the 3-4 month mark since the PRP treatments and my s**t is the worst I've seen it....but then he went on to explain the hair growth process which includes a phase where hair follicles fall out to promote and increase new growth so I'm kind of hoping by the time I go in for my next appointment in about three weeks I'll see some progress.
Other than that, I have to avoid DHT, workout regular, and have a healthy dose of protein in my diet. I did notice eating adequate amounts of proteins daily really did do wonders for my hair so now that my toe is feeling a lot better I can go back to working out and eating right.
So I also found a helpful video for my toe situation. Recently, my injured toe has started to bruise and it's now a dark purple. I remember the doctor saying it would take 6-9 months to really heal properly and the toe nail might fall off.
Well the video I found was this old man who bruised his big toes walking in Vegas. The nails turned black and fell off after about 2 months and eventually grew back. It was an 11-month process though sweatdrop I found another video that this doctor put up and in the comments he basically said that when there's trauma to a toe, bruising is normal and you'll just have to wait it out until it heals on its own. Blah. I was definitely looking for some quick remedies but that's all I could find. I might try again later, but it looks like I'm in for a long journey with his.
Ugh...it's all so overwhelming.
In other news, I still don't feel like working. I woke up thinking of Rob -- the daydream was of me getting my first place inspected and he was by my side. Yuck. Bryan didn't come over yesterday but he might come through today. Bleh.
If I think of anything else worth mentioning, I'll add it a little later.
One Love heart
