Now that I have my Ipad with me here at the hospital, I can do more learning and self-improvement. I'm currently learning to draw and it's a daunting task but I'm sure I will be seeing great improvements within even a year. I have forever to perfect my artistic skills so I am under no time deadline. This art book by Melanie Westin I have with me is very effective in teaching me how to draw basic manga and along with three Christopher Hart drawing books, I will be able to draw much better as I progress. When I am drawing, I also like to play music in the background to keep me entertained. I also alternate drawing with learning languages and exercising so I don't get overwhelmed or bored doing the same repetitive thing. I collect every meal paper slip I get for my stay here in the hospital so I can also draw on paper if need be. My current portraits of people are not bad for a beginner but I'm sure I could use an improvement. I just have to keep drawing on paper and my tablet because practice makes perfect!
