Okay. Y'all ever heard of UTAUs? I recently learned about them a year or two ago and I still don't really know much about them except it's like Vocaloids where people use a voice software thingy to make a singing voice from existing vocal tracks and stuff. Don't take my word for it lol I'm a total noob to this.

I was perusing youtube, watching Japanese covers of songs and such when I stumbled upon a certain video:
To say I replayed this a million times is an understatement. Holy crap.
Now, I never really liked Vocaloids. They sound too robotic to me and it's always so high pitched. Like that one Vocaloid you always see with the green twin pigtails. I tried listening to her. Not my cuppa tea.
But THIS. This masterpiece is so BEAUTIFUL.
I've heard the original version of the song too and it's a bop, but this piano version will always be my favorite.
The creator of this is rev and he (I believe rev states on his twitter that he goes by he/him if not my apologizes) created the character Karasu, the Utau singing in the video.
There's such raw emotion to Karasu's singing and the added breath intakes as well as the little cries rev adds is so beautifully done, I cry. To make a computer sing so humanly is pure talent. He also draws and I believe the picture in the video is his own drawing of Karasu. Ugh. So talented.
I remember watching this video before it had 600k views and now it's over 1 million views. I'm ridiculously proud of rev and I hope he is healthy and happy cause he definitely brought happiness to many people, including me, with his creation.
This isn't the only song he's covered but it is for sure my favorite.
And a quick little shoutout to JubyPhonic with her English cover of the same song. I listened to it yesterday and it's soooo gooood!
