oh so for the sake of topic I was in the forum and some chick posts a thread - the intro is something like
- i won't date any guys that have a female best friend -
then inside it is what you'd expect ... cuz they'd be ******** her in no time and that she knows because it has happened to her in the past [every time]
i couldn't help but post in that one ...

i basically broke it down by saying if you can't date a dude cuz of their opposite sex best friend, that says more about you than it does about them and that it is a huge red flag
a guy isn't going to ******** his best friend because she is a female - a guy will ******** his female best friend because he is a s**t heel, because he is a dog, cuz he is an untrustworthy turd - got ******** all to do with the sex of his best friend ...
also - maybe you're just a lunatic and he got sick to death of hearing about his best friend being a female and how he is going to ******** around on her and since you were SO insistent and nagging about it, he figured he'd just make you right - not that it's okay but sometimes you can drive a person to do s**t ...
besides that - it has everything to do with you having shitty taste in men apparently - if a guy is a player, he is a player no matter what sex his best friend is ...
likewise a stand up guy is going to do you right and won't ******** his best friend even if she is the type to endlessly come on to him ...
which - i have to point out, if you are dating the sort of guy who would even be besties with the sort of person who would come on to him all the time you might want to rethink your ability to sus people out. Give up on dating altogether until you've learned how to read people a little better ...
also, not for nothing - but if your bf's female best friend was able to get him to cheat on you you might thank her for helping you see the real him.
