ok so i just need 2 vent bc i came out of an observation of my trig teacher from 9+ years ago

first of all its just kinda crazy. it feels like some of my old teachers never really aged. when he said, "this is miss [ln], she was my student back in... 2013...?" i realized: woah, you didn't age but the way you teach has changed vastly

which brings me to the second thing: as we move towards a diverse society where schools are gonna have tons of ell's or students with lep, its important we keep our teaching up to date and our minds willing to learning and change. my teacher talked at me for half an hour about the segregation of ell's and how older teachers can and will refuse to not teach classes for ell's or students w special needs bc it means changing how they teach; and how newer teachers will often get handed this kind of class bc it's harder and demands the teacher of more support

and i guess, lastly, it just makes me kinda sad bc i think as teens we take some of our teachers for granted. like, the teachers who really care. cuz my math teacher is teaching me so much and has changed so much too because he wants his immigrant students to feel supported n it just makes me soft sad n i wanna be a good teacher like him and i sad sad sad just soft sad,,,, lots of thonking bc our cred program focuses on teaching with equity, students of diverse backgrounds and lep and that combined w my interest in sped motivates me to dO BETTER N KEEP GROWING N LEARNING SO I CAN BE WHAT MY STUDENTS NEED hhhhhhh ok vent over
