So, my cell phone didnt work so my alarm was never set properly, aka, I woke up at 11am and my entire homestay wasnt home, so it was time to fend for myself. I ate a piece of bread, had some coffee, and then was determined to do some serious shopping.

Well, there I am digging through piles of clothing thats on sale, when I get a text message: Go to Kanazawa trainstation, there is a dance battle there!

So I sprint to a bus, get to the station, and lo and behold, in the basement there is a 5 hour long break and hip hop dance battle! It was totally sick. Competitors from all over Japan were there competing and what not, kids like random B-boys to like guys dressed up in angel costumes or seal costumes. There were kid teams, and this 6 year old kid could spin on his friggin head. Six! Thats ridiculous!

So one of the judges told me about her studio in Kanazawa, and tomorrow imma check out a Break and hip hop class.

Finally, something other than shopping. Let the real culture begin.
