A confined rose eagerly waiting to bloom
Growing vigorously within the enclosed space.
Delicately I pour this fresh hot cup of tea,
Yet the fragrant flavour simmers within already.
The anticipating bird had yet to take flight,
As it watches the great eagles soar far and high,
Its overflowing readiness it had yet to know,
Until it breaks free from its very confines.
Adventure awaits through the open door,
Yet you still remain within these walls,
And a new dawn flies towards a new dusk,
You still wait for these strong walls to fall.
When doubt has escaped through that door,
When you know these walls were just a haze,
One day perhaps then you would realize
You're now standing on the place you cannot reach.
