So the next day, its ridiculous pouring. Like, RIDICULOUS. I think nothing of it, and I go to work soaking wet. I get to my floor, and all the lights are out, and there's one other person there. Wtf? I go to the radio room and the announcers are doing the show, but its CRAZY. The phones are ringing nonstop, the fax and emails are pouring in. The controller yells at me to start printing out emails.

Ishikawa is underwater, and because its a holiday, we need to get regular people to call in stories for us, so lets get to work!

My boss runs into work with a cig hanging out of his mouth, unshaven beard, and a Tshirt and Jeans. Other announcers start rushing in with clothes all ruffled and hair undone, and I'm having a blast.

Anyway, I get worried for the other intern kids, so I send some emails, and I realize that China is also getting destroyed by the rain, so I send generic East Asia emails out to all my friends, and I slowly get them back, and thankfully, no one is swimming away yet.

Suddenly, surprise! My boss wants me to meet his wife and kids in the main lobby, cuz they sorta speak english. So I go down and for 2 hours talk to them about everything from Japanese culture to Video games, to a Matsuri of kids carrying lanturns to ward away Rice eating bugs. The youngest kid does a Karate kata for me, and we sorta watch tv for a while. Weird, but it was a good experience to learn about culture and what not.

Work eventually ends, and I head back home instead of dancing because I get a call from my mom that we are going to an okonomiyaki san, which would make it my first time ever going there! Wooo.

So we go there, and I meet a kid who is a university student who studied in china and korea for a while, so he is pretty cool with different languages. It then strikes me like a hammer in the head (ouch!) that everyone you meet is so different and has such cool stories behind them... it has been so fun just meeting people, you know?

Anyway, so I try a ton of different food, drink a bunch of beer, and have fun making my own lil Okonomiyakis. I meet my Host dad's coworker, his mother, and his wife, and we watch tv for a while in the living room and what not.

Sigh. Monday is over. It was fun, but work was pretty tough.... I need to sleep.
