Bus Stop, 3:30PM...
The damned bus still hasn't arrived yet. Route 30, St Hedwig something-or-other. I look around - there are about 10 routes that stop here including mine, and that means 10 routes worth of people. It was packed.
"Black Hershey's Chocolate..." Someone muttered from around where I was sitting. I looked up at an old woman hissing at someone. She started to mutter-sing a few songs under her breath. I went back to looking around, almost nervous that it isn't here yet. It must have taken off before I got there.
I'm tapped on the shoulder.
"Excuse me son," she began, "can you ask that guy (she pointed at an old grumpy looking black male) why he keep's staring at me?"
"Er....no ma'am." I replied
"Why not?
Because I dont want to get my a** kicked?(we're downtown) I thought, but "Because I'm not very...social" is what came out. She smacked her lips and looked back at the staring person.
"Maybe he likes you?" I said, ever the smartass.
"Maybe he wants a smack in the face"
Dare you I thought.
"I'm gonna go talk to him!" She stormed off to the guy
"Why do you have a staring problem!!" She shouted at him. I didnt hear his response, but she came back saying 'Yeah whatever!' and went back to standing near where I was sitting.
Man I am so glad the bus came...
