Disney was alrite. The rain was pretty bad at times, but... well... it shortened the lines. My mom still had her sprained ankle and s**t so she was being a drama queen and ended up skipping. We gave her ticket to some random people. What a waste. Well... then we kinda forgot about her birthday... which was the 29th. We were at California Adventure and she was in the hotel. Totally lost track of time, especially cuz our fam doesn't celebrate much. Barely realized it was new year's eve. See... instead of doing anything right now... my parents are watching Chinese sitcoms, I'm sitting here, and my 11 year old bro is hacking flash games...
I've been watching in bunches again, but still lazy bout reviewing. I've been thinking that these episodic review for myself have been pretty useless. Maybe I'll switch to whole series reviews instead. Any which way, all the stuff I've been watching have been pretty average.
- Ghost in the Shell SAC 2 is good, but still not as fulfilling as SAC 1 - Gankutsuou's getting interesting. - School Rumble's still pretty funny - Beck is still struggling with it's animation - Bleach's animation is getting better and story is pretty faithful to the manga - Genshiken is struggling to keep my attention. - Naruto is continuing it's dive into crappiness. - Yakitate!! Japan is at par. - Mai Hime is almost over and still as useless as ever, but at least the animation is decent.
and yea... I think that's it. Though I had watched this one Japanese movie, Casshern, cause the graphics looked delicious. Foreign films are not my forte... at all, but I stumbled across this one cause the soundtrack had stuff by Shiina Ringo, The Back Horn, and Acidman which surprised me cause those are some of the few j-artists I like. Also featured Hyde, Hikaru Utada, and Glay... which are big names, but I don't like them much.
Anyways… about the movie. The graphics were nice, but I think I was expecting too much. There wasn’t much talking… there was more focus on action and atmosphere? Dunno… Plot seemed crunched and was not as good as I wanted it too be. But hey… I believe it was based on a late 80’s, early 90’s crappy anime, so it was a nice adaptation. Best part of the movie was the ending, very Wolf’s Rain like. Some nice bloody scenes throughout the movie was nice too.
