~ Sometimes I just can't take it anymore ... ~
Here is Today's journal for Mr. Reeve's class:
With over two weeks of experiance, what are your current impressions of the sophomore year? What do you find the same as last year? What is different? What is most surprising? What one peice of information would you like to share with current freshmen?
Sophomore year. It's finally arrived, and I'm doing my time in school once again. It's not much different from any other year of school. My classmates and I still plod tiredly through the halls on a Monday morning, certain that this, even though school began hours ago and lunch is fast approaching, is an ungodly hour to be awake and at school. The same people do the same things they did last year, and indeed have done since I came to know them five years ago. To be certain, some faces have changed, but as a whole, we stand the same as we did back then. The classes, although harder than anything we could have imagined in our young minds back then, are no more challenging than long division was to our untempered fifth-grade minds. Perhaps the most surprising thing about highschool is this fact. The lack of surprise is more surprising than if we had come to school and found that all our tenth grade teachers were trained acrobats who readily employed their skills in the middle of class. Well, perhaps not that surprising, but my point remains unchanged; there is a surprising lack of surprise as we move up to higher grades.
I'm not done with it yet. It's not due for a while.
I've decided to try to be more like Caroline Rose Lavelock. She is a better role model than some have chosen to shape themselves after.
~ But that doesn't change me loving you ... ~
