I should be studying for history now, but god this chapter was so boring gonk . I was falling asleep, so instead I watched some new stuff and pissed myself off. Air and Mahou Sensei Negima. Both were not my type of thing... bleh. I know I said I’d stop episodic reviews… but I’ve considered these two series dropped, at least for the time being.
AIR Air's a highly advertised and high budget short series from the creators of Kanon. I thought Kanon was some boring s**t and couldn't finish watching it. Air has the same type of feeling. The characters piss the s**t out of me. Although I thought the animation was real fluid, which is always a plus, I absolutely hate the style. It's pretty similar to Kanon's: Big eyes, big chins, little mouths, childish looking girls... ::sigh::. Plotwise, it seems to be a slow drama with a "magical twist" that's probably gonna be introduced. Plus it's one of those stereotypic one guy, lots a girls situation. So, no... I didn't like Kanon, and I doubt I'd like this. Too bad too... the animation was real nice, and so was the atmosphere at times.
Mahou Sensei Negima Mahou Sensei Negima, another highly anticipated series... was incredibly stupid. Coming from the creators of Love Hina... it seems quite similar. Again, another one guy lotsa girls situation. But, the ********? It's even more girls than there were in Love Hina. And the kid's 10! and the girls are in middle school! s**t... there were some ***** themes in Love Hina, but this is just stupid. The characters all fit into their little cookie-cutter anime roles. Which is damn annoying. Though I admit I thought it was pretty funny when that one girl pulled out that yaoi manga. The music was pure Japanese bubblegum pop, which gets on my nerves too. Overall, this series seems like just a fanservicy continuation of Love Hina. As if Love Hina Again wasn’t shitty enough, they just had to add more. Original Love Hina gave me laughs when it first came out, but I don’t need to see the same ******** show over and over again.
