Not intended for close-minded humans. Spammers will be shot on sight. xd So enjoy. cool Also a lot of you are not going to get this. Don't even try. This was a story I was working on way back.))
It was early November and snow had already begun to pour. The customers in the tea house were nestled cozily by the coffee machine, others by the fire place drinking their tea in peace. One customer sat in the far corner away from everyone else. His head was laid against a strewned out arm on the table. He listened to the humans chattering near the front.
"Woah. Look at all that snow." "That's strange. The forecast said it would be clear today."
Dissheveled black hair with red highlights shaded it's owners face. He seemed a bit drunk from the redness on his cheeks. A young lady wearing jeans and a green sweater walked up to his table. She looked at him with tired gaze.
"Are you drunk again?" she asked as if he had done this before. Red eyes opened to greet her and he slowly sat up straight, his hand fixing his long hair. "You know, Charlie may be picking up the tab, but you don't have to abuse it."
He seemed to ignore her and suddenly grinned from ear to ear. "Hey! Luka! Come and have a drink with me! Have a salty dog! It's delicious. You lick the salt off and take little sips!" He seemed to be making excuses just to have more drinks. She sighed. "You idiot."
"It suddenly started snowing again," she said softly, looking out one of the far off windows. It was warm inside the Tea House and it was welcomed. She had just come in from the blizzard outside. Nukdae glanced outside for a moment before looking at his hands. His scarred hands. He balled them into fists, disgusted. "Why are you here?" he asked her. She looked at him. "You know what I am. So why are you here?" Nukdae seemed to be angry and sad at the same time. His drunken state must have brought on his usualy mood swings but this one was different. "Nukdae, I-" "You know I'm not human. ... Why am I not human?" The last part was whispered as if he was asking himself. "What makes a human, a human? If I'm not human... Then what am I?" Luka growled and huffed it off, thinking it was just some act. "An idiot, that's what. Why are you upset about this all of a sudden?"
"When I was a kid, I used to get picked on because of the color of my eyes. I wasn't like the other kids." His eyes seemed to fade as he remebered his childhood. Faceless children throwing rocks at him, calling him a 'monster'. His mother crying at night and damning God for her abomination.
'What's gotten into him? He's acting strange,' she thought. Nukdae burried his face into his hands and shivered. Luka watched him with curious honey eyes. The feelings of his childhood... Discrimination, persecution, loneliness and a profound sense of guilt.
"I feel guilty for being alive," Nukdae whispered that Luka barely heard him. She suddenly felt very sad and alone. As if his words made her feel what it was like. "I always knew I was different from other people. But I... I wanted people to accept me." His back shook as he tried to stiffle his tears, failing miserably. Luka watched in pain. "I wanted to be Human." "...Even after... They were so cruel to you... You still believed in them? Those bastards made you hate yourself so much... That you maimed yourself." Luka growled suddenly and pulled Nukdae close by grabbing his shirt collar. He looked at her with tear-filled eyes surprised. "You're human! I'll prove it to you!" "...Luka..." 'If a creature this weak isn't Human, what else could it be?' she thought to herself. "You've been Human for a long time. You don't hae to cry anymore." Luka sat down next to him and pulled him into a hug. he was startled for a moment but soon closed his eyes and pulled her close.
