"Katrina?"

"Yeah?"

"Where are we?"

"I have no idea."

An uneventful week followed from where we last left off, and by now, they were on the outskirts of a forest. Curly was sniffing at a tree, growling at it occasionally, and Smas and Katrina were watching her.

"Should we go in?" Smas piped up.

"The best place, I don't see anywhere else with that much cover," Katrina replied.

Katrina started to walk toward the trees, when it started drizzling. She looked up at the sky smiling, and continued on her way. Smas followed close behind, and Curly went up by her side. She started whimpering, and Katrina turned to her.

"I swear," she said, "I know what I'm doing." I wonder what's going through your mind, she thought to herself.

"Maybe this is a sign that we shouldn't be going in here," said Smas, who was shivering uncontrollably.

"Well, if it is, I don't care," she said, "The future is what's going to happen, and that won't change."

Smas sighed behind her. She just rolled her eyes, and continued to walk on. Within five minutes, the drizzling had turned into a downpour. Lightning was flashing overhead, and thunder was rolling off through the clouds.

"Is the sky turning green?" asked Smas behind her.

"Why would it be turning green?"

"That's the sign a tornado is coming."

"That's dumb," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Seriously, look at the sky."

Katrina turned her head to the sky, and sure enough, it was a deep, deep green. The clouds were churning, and a couple looked like holes in the sky. In the distance, cloud cover was giving off the illusion of touching the ground. A bolt of lightning shot up over their heads, and the rolling sound of thunder followed it. Katrina watched in terror as a funnel touched down at the other side of the forest.

"You see?!" yelled Smas over the terrible sound, "I told you!"

Katrina looked over at him, "Are we going to be safe in this forest?"

"I'm not sure," he yelled, "But we should run towards that tornado anyways!" she followed his finger, which was pointing at the one on the other side.

"Are you insane?! It'll kill us all!"

"My dad was talking once, a tornado doesn't stay in the same place for more than five minutes!"

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Katrina looked over at Curly, who was already running towards it. She started after Curly, running as fast as she could, following her white form. She could hear Smas following close behind, and she could also hear his heavy breathing.

"Are you okay?!" she shouted over her shoulder.

"I'm fine, just not the most athletic guy in the world," he yelled back at her.
