Shiori sat in her room during one of her study halls. Sighing she looked at Soma. Fast asleep. Snickering, she got up and headed towards the grounds for ground patrol. Tomorrow was the festival. It marked the day when the first human walked onto our grounds.
Shiori sat. Her family was part of this history. The first human was her grandmother. Everyone on this one day always looked at her weird. It was because she wasn't full elf, but she didn't care.
~the next day~
Shiori walked though the little town outside of HAMA. No one looked at her weird. She visited her mom, and then walked over to a story teller's place. She saw a little girl there, who looked astonishingly like her. She decided to sit and wait to hear what the story teller had to say.
The lady sat down. Short and plump, not anything like an elf, except for the ears and hair, she could have been human. A faerie sat beside her, and layed down on a pixie-sized chair.
She began to talk...
Welcome children, and lady. Today I will tell you of what happened many years ago. Let me take you back almost 50 years ago. A young man about 16 years old had graduated from HAMA. He still holds the records for the highest marks ever obtained within thouse walls. He was with a search party in the Human realm. This was a time of war, driving us back here, away from our homes in which we had stayed for years.
This man was in charge of a section not too far from the enterance of the 3rd zone realm doors. In thouse days, killing was consitered an accomplishment.
Shiori sat, it was her grandfather. Her mom had since joined her and was now listening to the woman. Intrigued by what she was saying.
He was the best child i've ever seen walk though that gateway to the other realms. He knew the faeries and the pixies, the ghosts and the goblins. He was very popular.
But while on the mission, he was possessed to leave a young child out on her own. A female human child none the less. She was only a few years old. He pitied the weak, and spared her life!
Many years lator he returned to that same area, to find the same girl out picking berries. She was now a young woman of about 16 or 17. He couldn't resist himself. He fell in love with her. Many months lator, a baby girl was born. Half human, half elf. At that time we still had to induct the children to society. So the mother, the man, and the new baby girl came a the little town just within the realms gates.
It happened this day many years ago. The first human ever to walk into these realms. Thank you for listening children. Go back to your parents now.
Shiori and Shadou looked at eachother, they had to know more. They walked up to the lady, and asked her to continue. What happened next?
Indeed I will tell you. I just didn't want the ears of the young children to be murdered. They stayed with a man named Clauds. The brother of the man. Whose name was Jehoma. There were many kids running around Clauds' home at that time. They have all since left, but that's another story.
Anyways, the child was named Shadou after the goddess of song. They went back to the mortal realm, and that's when disaster struck. The humans were comming out of hiding around this time, and there were revolts everywhere. Jahoma was killed by a pack of dogs sent out by some humans.
He was a fine boy. My youngest son. My lovely baby boy, killed by the stupidest of creatures.
They looked at eachother. The woman now crying over her boy. Shadou spoke.
"Ma'am. This man, Jahoma. Did he ever tell you where they were living?"
"No."
"If it's off of sector 3, then he would have known my mom."
"Oh no honey. He only knew humans off of sector 3, and only his wife and child."
"I know, he know's my mom. I'm Shadou. I've stayed with Clauds for a while, then left my child, Shiori, with him. I need you to tell me something."
The woman was now extremely curious.
"Why didn't he kill my mother when he had the chance?"
"Honey, he. He. He hated killing. It was his job, but he hated it. He never wanted to harm anyone. Let alone a young child."
Shiori spoke up, "Mother, let us leave this woman alone. I'm worried about uncle Clauds, he sayed he would be here by now."
"Of course. Thank you."
"No my dear. Thank you. My grand child, and my great grandchild. The protectors of our life and endearment. Thank you."
Shiori ran to a phone, still contemplating what the woman had said. She called up Shela. Shela was rather sad.
"Young one, I have some bad news."
