Watching too much stuff lately... okay, mostly just Interlude took up a long time. Started watching it on Sat, finished it today. Anyways... mostly just posting bout the last episode of FMA. I will write to my heart's content 3nodding .
Fullmetal Alchemist Epsiode 51 ------------------------ Copy, Pasted, and Edited from my post in the guild. I’m just writing down what I think and I make no sense.
OMFG. Am I the only person who did not realize FMA ends at 51???!!!! I thought for sure it was 52, and I haven’t really been keeping up with the community, so I didn't know crying . It was such a painful shocker when it ended. Dammit. Oh, and for those wondering about the subbers, they did okay for a speed sub... at first I wasn't sure if it was a parady or not, cuz the group's name is "Shinsen Sonchou Sucks a**" sweatdrop , but yea, the translations seem legit. Noticed a few spelling errors though.
God. I can't help but think the ending was really rushed. This last episode leaves me completely mad that I have to wait til next summer to see a continuation. It's pretty obvious imo where the movie is heading: Ed tries to return to his world from London.
Ahh… I’m so glad Roy didn’t die. But the obvious irony in his pirate patch is kind of corny. But I can’t say the same for the poor little kid, stupid Fuhrer had to kill him! b*****d! Though I guess one could say his sacrifice was worth it. Without him bringing the skull, the whole plan could have been jeopardized. Hmm… what else, I was a bit confused about what happened to Dante and Gluttony. I thought he ate her, but they where did he go? Then I got this theory that she transferred them both over to the gate? So they may be possible antagonists in the Movie… perhaps. Oh, and wrath’s irony with the arm and leg is pretty corny too. Though I do wonder about his future survival. If he does eventually blend in with human society, doesn’t that make destroying the other Homunculus useless? I personally think they could still have been reformed. And Envy, wtf happened to him? I really didn’t understand that. Why did he become Ed, then him, then a dragon? So is he in London as a dragon or something. Really doesn’t make sense to me. Archer’s death was undramatic, although his whole reappearance was uninteresting anyways. He should have just stayed dead after the creation of the P-stone. Uhh… what else to say? So much stuff that I can’t put into words.
I can’t help but think the two brothers were better off in the beginning of the show. Although I guess that they helped mankind and yadda yadda bullshit like that, but I always got the feeling that the show just wasn’t about the bigger picture. It was focused on their relationship and their journey, however selfish it was. Now, even though they have their original bodies back, they are without each other, which I believe to be the more important of the two. Plus Al doesn’t even remember like 4 years of his life now. Throwing away those experiences really just makes all that he’s learned a waste, and makes him likely to make the same mistakes, doesn’t it? Ah well… this is a problem that can still be solved in the movie, so I’ll leave it to the writers.
I'm trying to process what I'm thinking right now, but it’s just so hard. Completely overwhelmed by the fact that FMA is over, but I guess all good things have to come to an end. In all it was one of my favorite series I’ve ever seen. Brilliant. Even if the ended was surprising, in a not so good way? I’m Still reading the manga, so maybe that will be different. Oh yea. FMA’s gonna be airing on Adult Swim soon. I pray the dub will somewhat justify it, and that the new fans will be tolerable.
Bleach Promo ------------------------ I’m not sure what I think about that funky music. It’s weird. Well… based on the preview alone, I probably would not have been very interested, but I love Bleach. Hahah, its my current wallpaper, so why wouldn’t I? I hope the anime is as good, if not better than the manga. It’ll be nice to see some of the scenes animated, but then again, the animation will probably lose a lot of Kubotite’s stunning style that he shows in the lil… iono what’s it called… the title(?) page of each chapter. Yea… those were really cool XD.
Interlude OVA 01-03 ------------------------ I had dismissed this series back when the first episode came out in May or so, based on a crappy summary I had seen for it. Saw episode three, the last episode, released this weekend, and for some reason, decided to pick the series up. Definitely don’t regret it biggrin . Two things that did bug me though: the useless ecchi that just completely disrupted the mood of the story, and Tama’s absolutely annoying voice. Oh and maybe a third: the lil scenes with Aya that had those floating sakura petals… kinda annoying. Besides that, the show’s really good, a little scrunched, but what can you expect from a fairly short OVA. It’s got the whole matrix concept as the foundation of the story, which is cool and all, but leaves a lot of plot holes. But I really liked the basic concept to it: to leave an illusion of everything you wanted to hope in a desolate reality. I also liked the use of the soliloquy's which I definitely havn't seen utilized in anime before. I think it was mostly the mood that captivated me. Kinda has the whole Tsukihime type atmosphere, though again, the ecchi ruins that. Maybe it’ll be developed into a tv series where it can expand buh yea… a lot of it left me a confused. Which can be good! Because it leaves me thinking, still… oh well. Blah, I have other things to say about it, but I’m tired. crying Still mourning the end of FMA.
