The bell to the Elementary school rang one rainy day. Poor Ritsuka came unprepared outside for the weather as he was heading for enterance to home. Luckily, Soubi was waiting there for him as usual.
"Konnichiwa, Ritsuka-kun." Soubi greeted him with a warm hug. Ritsuka`s eyes widened when he realized Soubi was a little wet. Looks like he didnt bring an umbrella. "Soubi-san! You`re wet!" "So I am." "Why didnt you bring an umbrella or something?!" "It started raining as soon as the schoolbell rang. And I didnt expect the weather to suddenly change like this." Ritsuka looked a little panicked and wondered how they were going to make it hime without getting too wet and sick. Sadly, both of them were already wet. So, he finally decided that Soubi could spare some space for the both of them under his coat on the walk home. Soubi opened up his coat and offered for Ritsuka to come in. He blushed. "Iehh. I dont know." He wondered if that was really the safe thing to do considering that Soubi might do something unfitting and make Ritsuka run off home himself and catch a cold. Surely Soubi would reach his house a while after he got home and see if he got sick. "Its alright. Come here." Soubi reached out to guide him inside. Ritsuka froze and was pulled over beside Soubi. He suddely felt so warm. "S-soubi-san." He stammered. Soubi pulled the coat tighter around them and started walking. "Come. We`ll catch a cold if we dont hurry home." He smiled. "This time, lets go to my place."
When they got home, Soubi pulled the coat off them and hung it up on a rack and walked to the kitchen. "I`ll get us some tea." His voice came when he was there. "Make yourself comfortable while I`m at it."
Ritsuka nodded to himself and took a seat on the sofa. 'It`s so cozy.' He thoght to himself. He snuggled back into the cusion and closed his eyes. Feeling like he was going to drift off to sleep.
*Hiku!* He snapped his eyes back open and blinked a couple of times and sat up right. 'Hiccups?' *Hiku!* He raised hsi hand to his mouth. 'Is..these hiccups a sign Im sick?' Ritsuka gasped and jumped up from the seat and ran for the door. "You know its still raining." Ritsuka stopped. Blush flashing across his face. "You`ll catch a cold if you head home alone." He stopped brathing at the word 'Cold'. "Where are you going?" He heard Soubi set down a small tray and pitter patter over to him. closer. closer. Now he was standing rigt behind him. Ritsuka could hear his heart pounding. A hand touched his shoulder and turned him around.
"S-soubi! Its nothing!" He pulled away and Soubi grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. Cupping his chin he angled Ritsukas head so he was looking him straight on the eyes. Any second now, he could feel anothe hiccup welling up in his chest. He made a gasp to cover it when it came. Soubi raised an eyebrow.
"Ritsuka-kun. Daijobu?" Ritsuka covered his mouth with one hand and wrapped an arm around his abdomen and shook his head no. Anothe hiccup was on its way out.
"Its nothing Soubi-*Hiku!*" ...It slipped out when he spoke. Crap. Soubi was sure to have found out now. "Hiku?" Ritsuka looked up and hunched down on the floor. His face flushed and sweaty. He was ready to give in. "Hai... Hiku. Hiccups...." He hiccupped again and Soubi knelt down level to him. A moment passed. "Hiccups? Is that all?" "Hai..." Soubi chuckled. "And you were trying to hide them from me? Come here. I can help you cure them." He guided Ritsuka up back to the sofa. "Water usually used to cure hiccups, but, we could use tea instead. Here." He placed a cup in Ritsukas hand. "Take a deep breath and hold it in." Ritsuka looked at him, but did as directed. Soubi helped him raise the cup to his lips. "Take a swallow without exhaling. Be careful not to swallow the wrong way." He did as told and felt the hot herbal liquid slide down his throat, wondering if this really was going to be any help.
Meanwhile, Soubi used his other hand to rub small circles in Ritsukas back. Comforting him. Ritsuka blushed and almost coughed. More like gag. And he waited. Nothing.
"Now exhale." Soubi whispered. Ritsuka did. "Ne, they`re gone! My hiccups are gone!" Ritsuka smiled, relieved. Soubi smiled. "Hai. Well done, Ritsuka-kun." He turned the boy around and leaned in to place a chaste kiss on his lips. Ritsuka yelped and pulled away, accidentaly dragging Soubi along with him. Soubi was laying on top of him. "S-soubi-san! H..Doishite?!" He stuttered and his face went red again. He simply smiled and kissed the boys neck. "Because. I love you, Ritsuka-kun."
He sighed. Having the hiccups in this weather is worse than having a cold.
