Well, looks like Christmas is coming up. I'm still trying to save up and all. Decided to call my sister up, and see if she wants to pitch in and try getting my Mom a gift. A GOOD gift. Not one of those, "It's cheap as hell, but it's the thought that counts" kind of gifts. Lol. She was talking about how she wants to start working out and all. Mainly because she knows I work out and all. But because she can't keep up with me at the gym and all, I thought it would be nice to get her something she can use at home. Like the Ab Lounge. Now, I thought about this for a while, and I've come to the conclusion that she's all talk. XD She says she wants to work out, but her actions contradict that clearly. So I've decided to get her a gift card to a good clothing store at the mall, and put as much on it as possible so she can get a lot of clothes. I brought the idea to my sis, and she thought it was good. So we'll see what happens.
I FINALLY got an ethernet cord for my PS2 now! ^_^ mrgreen For those who don't know what that means, it means that I can now play PS2 online. I've been playing Mortal Kombat recently, and it's pretty fun. I like using my created fighter, and fighting against other people's created characters. It's really neat, but can be very very frustrating at times, you know? For an example, my character's name is Law. He's based on me in every way the game will allow. Same fighting style, same fighting attire, similar hairstyle(apparently, only Kai can have my hair!), and all of that good stuff. I even fight the way I fight in real life. I beat my opponents down, then give them some space so they can make their move. However, not all players online are as generous as I. Lol. I've kicked many asses, but I struggle against the cheap players. The ones who knock you down, and keep repeating attacks to keep you from ever getting on your feet again. x_x A few people managed to trap me against a wall, and continued to trip me over and over and over again. Normally, I'd get on my feet quick enough to block or jump over them. But some sweep you before your character even BEGINS getting back on it's feet. It's so frustrating! And then you have people trying to do nothing but knock you into a death trap. Personally, I find that using a death trap robs you from a great victory. Sure, you win automatically. But still, it leaves me feeling all empty. However, this doesn't stop many from doing it anyway. Lol. But no matter how annoying it is, it's good experience. You see, I'm entering a Mortal Kombat contest out here in Los Angeles, and I can imagine those people will be even MORE cheap and underhanded than people online. Mainly because there is a prize for the winners. Looks like I have my work cut out for me. Every night, I'm working on my character. Seeing how to string together moves, coming up with strategies, etc...
A friend of mine from work as invited me to go to Big Bear to snowboard later this month. I've never been snowboarding, but I've always wanted to go. So looks like this is a trip that I plan on making.
