Man I get a kick out of these re-do's of the pokemon games. I have green and I recently reached Celedon city, its sad when you know what squares to check on the Game Corner's floor for dropped coins. But seriously, its a trip. I'm going back through a game that a played upwards of 5-10 times through when it 1st came out (I hade both blue & red). Now I'm playing through almost the exact same thing and re-realizing why I spent about 100 allowances on pokemon before. It's great going around thinking That's the guy w/ hayfever, that's the freak who want's me to give him my pokedex, that girl who just gave me the return tm gave me swift in the first game... This must be what old people feel like when they play Pitfall, Joust, and Pong again ^-^. So now we can all look forward to sitting in our rocking chairs, talking about the youth of the future's horrid music, oldies station playing Evanescence and Nickelback, talking about how in our day we played video games that had REAL challenges (remember the older ones? the ones they made impossible to beat?), and complaining about arthritis. Way back when (as my father so graciously tells me whenever I bring up a video game) people had fun by riding bikes and playing stickball in the streets. Today we just sit on our asses and play video games and watch tv while we get fat. I just smile and tell him, one day our video games will all be somewhat physical (not just like DDR and that *winces* boxing game...ouch my muscles hurt just thinking about it...). We'll have virtual reality where our movements control how we move in game, and our junk food will be healthy (BRING ON THE CHOCOLATE CAKE!). Well that's all for my ramblings today, TTFN!!!
