Time: 5th Century, Europe
Bird chirped somewhere in the distance, the sounds of their soft music echoed across the open valley. A small gust of wind whistled softly through the trees, rustling the leaves as it passed through. A few rust-colored leaves floated to the ground and landed into the pool of blood that laid there.
Bodies of fallen men laid scattered across the open ground, marring the natural beauty of the land. A single knight limped his way towards the top of the hill where a solitary female stood. He extended a hand towards her, offering her a large metal box. "For you," he slurred, smiling at his triumph. The woman accepted the dowry box, peering quickly inside to make sure all the contents were there.
Lust leaned down, cupping the knight's face with her hand and kissed him. "You did well, my knight," she replied softly. She stood and released him, watching him fall to the ground slowly. Even as she turned to walk away, she felt his body grow cold. She sighed. It would be hard to find others to fight for her. She'd better start on it soon.
