Roy made a face.

"I didn't mean you, Champagne," he said while looking at Nuro, who was starting to get nervous after he was staring at him.

"I-it's about your father, he said to inform you that he," Nuro started nervously before stiffening slightly and looks at Champagne. "Is ...she a.."

Roy raised a brow and looked at Champagne before looking back at Nuro.

"What do you mean?" he asked, a small grin forming.


Champagne smiled a bit when he finally made her realize that he wasn't talking to her and she looked to him and then to Nuro as he started to speak to Roy.

She was interested to see what he was going to ask what she was....did he sense she was a vampire or was it the fac that she was a slave. She still wore her collar because for some reason it couldn't come off or atleast she couldn't remove it.

She looked to Roy as he smiled at her and she smiled back. Her hand went to his arm and she laid her head on his shoulder, some of her hair falling onto her face as she watched Nuro carefully, her crimson eyes glittering as she kept her gaze locked on him, almost trying to look a bit menacing instead of so damn sweet.

If Roy was allowed to look so handsome when he had that rage in his eyes she thought that she was allowed to have that same look, but she didn't dare allow Roy to see her.

She remained with her head resting on his shoulder, her eyes still trained on Nuro, not blinking once as she cuddled up to Roy's side as best she could.

"Those c-crimson eyes..that murderous look..she has to be a vampire," Nuro stammered while slightly paling.

"A vampire hmm?.." Roy rubbed his chin while that slight smirk stayed on his face before staring at Nuro uninterestedly. "I'm afraid you're mistaken. Champagne is my personal assistant, she knows her place when it comes to me. I don't see where this has to do with you, however," he added darkly.

"But she's um..," Nuro started.

"She's allowed, it comes to show how well one can be tamed when it comes to the right amount of proper pampering," he said, slightly grinning while moving his arm to wrap it around her. "But she's behaved, so relax, Nuro. Even if she were to be a vampire, I would have no trouble on keeping one on a tight leash."

Even though he had to lie, it was for their own good. Nuro wasn't exact a truth teller, but tell him something of the truth and he'll make damn good use of what to do with it, weither it will save you (which most of them were not) or destroys you, he knew Nuro wasn't one to trust, not even with a penny.

"Now then, what was it that he wanted this time," he said boredly while leaning back, his hard stare on Nuro as he continued to fidget, starting to feel uncomfortable on his surroundings.


She closed her eyes and continued to rest her head on Roy's shoulder holding in laughter at Nuro's comments. She wanted to make retorts to his remarks, btu she knew she had to keep her mouth shut instead. She allowed herself to look as though she were dozing off and kep her ears open to the coming conversation. She was interested in seeing what the man had to say and she was just too comfortable in her seat with Roy's arm wrapped around her. Besides the sun was nearing its highest and even inside the car her energy was beginning to wane.

Roy listened to Nuro's explanation before moving his head to kiss Champagne lightly on the head before turning away to cough slightly, forcing it down.

"I see..so that's what he wants, another lousy attempt to find another location for his work to expand," he said before sighing.

"Alright.. Tell him I'll find out what is actually out here first before I send in anything. And to stop chasing me down, this is getting annoying, you know," he said before turning his gaze to another man next to Nuro.

"You, pull those curtains closed and pull down the blinds. I want it dark in here. As for you lot, get out."

'Y-yes sir," Nuro said before standing, leaving as with his comrades, the third staying to do what he said before leaving as well.

"..." Roy sighed before resting his eyes. "I thought they'd never leave," he grumbled. "Not to mention make a mess of the train.."


She remained silent and unmoving throughout the conversation and was moved almost to tears when he told them to close the blinds. He was thinking about her and making sure she was not weakened.

As they left she moved from her place only to look at him,
"I thought the same...now we're alone....as it should be...."

She smiled to him, "They made a mess....and he knew I was a vampire....wow...he's smarter than he looks...."

She reached up into the air to stretch her arms and back as her dress tightened deliciously across her breasts. She had hoped that she could change into something more comfortable instead of this dress that was more for show than comfort.

Roy sighed, staring ahead.

"He's a Serphili. A snake demon. He's nothing more than a coward, even in his human form. No threat, but annoying," he said before looking at her.

"You didn't have to move though," he said before sitting up to lean forward, resting his elbows on his knees and hung his head, his hair hiding his eyes as he silently winced at the scar on his back.


"He would know best then to not mess with me...."
She quiets when she senses he's not well and she looks to him with worry in her eyes.

"Roy...what ails you?...maybe I can help ease the pain....."

She was genuinely worried and hoped that she could do something to take his mind off of it and keep him entertained on what seemed to be an endless journey.

"Are you hungry....We never had breakfast....I could go to the dining car and bring something back for you....Or maybe I could give you a massage or a shoulder rub...I can work magic with my fingers..."

Her mind wasn't in the sex slave mode for once and she really just want to make this journey as comfortable as possible.

Roy straightened and looked to her before raising a hand slightly to trace her cheek with the back of his fingers before letting them slightly tangle in her hair, but smoothes them. He stared at her solemnly but had let his hand slide lightly down her neck before resting on her shoulder.

"No need to worry about me, just an old scar acting up," he said before looking towards the door. "I know you mean well and everything, and I appreciate it, but that little firework display on the train earlier wasn't the only mishap we've ran into."

He looked at her, more seriously before his eyes turned gentle and calm. She was doing her best to let him for once have a comfortable trip, but with his body growing weaker and weaker, even she may not be able to pull him out of the dark which was called death.

"There is a Hunter on board this train. I don't think it's a good idea for you to be out in the open, especially with it being still day and alone. I can eat later at our hotel, but for now..you're my main concern. So I should be the one to ask if it is you that is hungry," he explained.


Champagne nodded slowly and still continued to watch him. Her eyes flutter shut at his touch and a warmth spreads through her. She opens her eyes to look at him.

"Don't worry about me or the Hunter...we will be safe and I may be a bit hungry, but I will be fine....You should rest now...I can watch over you or at least let me have someone bring you a drink...you must be parched...."

Though he wouldn't like it much she began to plan what she could do to help him. He thought he was so close to death and she refused to let it happen. He was too perfect for her to be allowed to die. If she could just get him a drink she could lace it with her own blood. It would heal him little by little and he wouldn't be turned into one of her kind.

She stood and knelt before him and without thinking she lifted his head towards hers and planted the softest of kisses upon his lips and the warmth of his lips spread throughout her and she pulled away breathless from just the simplest meeting of their lips.
Roy's eyes slightly widened before closing them, enjoying the brief kiss before nodding.

"The rest sounds good enough..this room should be fine for that, being dark and quiet. Just how I like it. Even moreso when you're here," he said quietly before moving to lay down on the seat.

"We have a long way before we reach Calun. A very dangerous place where most of the Hunters go. We should be there by nightfall, but we should rest until then."

As he lay down she smiles and watches him. She stands and closes her eyes briefly and when she reopens them she is dressed in the black and silvery yukata that she had been given by him. If she were to sleep she should at least be comfortable.

Champagne doubted she could curl up with him on the seat so she lay on the floor at his feet. Her sense alert to intruders and those that wished to harm them. For some reason the mention of hunters did not faze her and she closed her eyes and cloaked him and herself as she rested.

"Rest well, master...."
