So smart and kind
Her words mean little
To those around her.
Her bright eyes glitter
With love and kindness
Her clothing bright and beautiful
Sparkles in her eyes and hair
Hair so right and pretty
Her step so light and carefree.
A jewel no doubt.
But beside her walks a boy.
A handsome boy
A sweet boy
The boy who holds that girls hand.
He is darker than her
His eyes dark
Yet kind just for her.
His clothing muddy and dull
Dulling her shine almost
The two opposites walk
Down the hall.
Together…Hand in hand.
Yin and Yang
Light and Dark.
And they walk…
To congregate with
Other muddy fellows
She is alone.
No girls come to talk to her
To offer support and laughter.
No one is there for her but
