The End of A Thundering Pain By: Asuka Soryu
A final booming clap and a sudden flash Followed by utter silence The roads are crowded with wet vehicles And the rain continues to fall But the baby stopped crying It’s like he is aware The suffering of a woman Of whom he will never know Has finally come to a halt
The rain slams against the windshield And many more buckets of cold wet droplets still will fall As the word spreads from one mouth to another Of her peaceful end, while He, in his car seat, rests
She was surrounded by blissful love Until she hesitantly staggered Her very last breath Looking at her youngest son, a woman of 23, she smiles and closes her hazel eyes. The rain continues, But the suffering is over. Meanwhile, Tucked safe in his seat, he sleeps soundly.
