What's this?
I have no idea what to post, so I'll put my unfinished story about a dragon called Artek!

Artek
Written and illustrated by jewel45663

Once, long ago, dragons roamed the earth. Very little remain today. All resided in the mountains, except for one...A silver dragon, named Artek. She may still be in her egg, but she knew a young girl would soon find her egg. Artek would only then hatch. It was her destiny to be with this girl.
Skye walked home...In the rain. How horrible could this day get? She had been bullied out of her lunch money, and hadn't eaten. And to make matters worse, she lived in Flagstaff, Arizona. It had usually snowed, but today, of ALL days, it rained.
She had planned to do her homework, then go out on her trampoline and work on her backflips. Well, at least tomorrow was Friday. She thought about her drawings and what she wanted to do with them. Sell them, maybe even put them into a gallery? Skye was a good artist, even though people said her drawings were weird. Skye thought that they were really good, so they were.
Skye walked through the grass in the park. She was only a block to her house, then she could sit next to the nice, warm fire. Her thoughts were interuppted by a big, glowing stone. She looked at the strange stone for a while, then shook her head and kept walking. Suddenly, she heard a crack. She stopped dead, and slowly turned towards the stone.
It didn't take her long to realize that it was no stone. It was an egg, and whatever was inside was hatching. She ran over to the egg and looked closely. It looked like a...a...a dragon! She backed up quickly when the small creature popped out.
"Whoa!" Skye exclaimed. The small dragon chirped happily, and ran in circles. Skye laughed a little. She crawled to the silver dragon. The dragon leapt into her lap and snuggled down.
Skye's eyes got wide. Where would she keep the dragon? What if a dog came and tried to eat her? Skye picked up the dragon and walked over to some trees. She gathered some sticks and made a small house. She put the dragon inside and said, "This should keep you safe for a while."
Skye remembered that she had a baloney sandwich in her backpack. Feeling idiotic, she took it out and gave it to the dragon. "No mustard, mayo, or anything like that." she said. She got up and made sure the dragon was settled. Then she slowly walked away.
It was still raining, but not as hard. Skye finally reached home. She sighed and slumped down in a chair. She turned on the TV and watched cartoons. Then heard a scratch at the door. Skye wondered who came out in the rain.
She answered the door and looked down at her feet. There was the dragon, soaking wet. Skye nearly screamed. The dragon had followed her all the way home. She grabbed the dragon and ran into the bathroom. She dried her off.
"Did you follow me all the way home?" Skye asked the dragon, knowing it wouldn't answer, but still. Yes. Someone had answered her in her head. "Oh my gosh!" She looked at the dragon.
"Are you talking to me in my head?!" she told the dragon. Yes. Skye sighed with relief that she wasn't going crazy."Is yes all you can say ?" Skye said.
Maybe. The dragon seemed to be laughing, as she jumped around a bit more. Skye rolled her eyes at the dragon's humor, and then walked into the living room, the dragon following. She sat in a chair as the dragon hopped into her lap once more. 'What should I name you?' Skye wondered.
She scanned through all of the good mystical names she could think of, and didn't find one that matched the dragon. "I have no idea what to call you." Skye said to the dragon. Artek. Skye puzzled this for a moment, then realized what the dragon was saying. Artek was her name!
"Alright then, Artek it is." she smiled at the dragon as she spoke. The dragon chirped and put her head down on Skye's lap. Skye looked at the time. It was about 5:00. Her mom should be home in half an hour!
She picked up the dragon and ran into her room, looking for a good place to hide Artek. She found a little cardboard box, just Artek's size. Skye put in some blankets and set Artek inside. "Stay here for a little bit. Just until I find a better place to hide you." she told Artek. Artek chirped in agreement.
About twenty minutes later, her mom came home. "Hi sweetie. How was your day?" she asked Skye. "Okay." Skye replied, looking at the TV. "Well that's good. Listen, I need to clean your room. It's a mess in there!"
Skye swallowed and choked a bit. "You need to clean my room today?" she asked. "Yes Skye, I do. Have you looked at the floor in there lately?" her mother asked, setting her purse down. Skye sat there for a moment, than sprinted into her room as fast as she could.
She could hear her mother coming. Skye swiftly kicked the box Artek was in into the closet. She knew it was cushioned good, so the small creature wouldn't get hurt. "Okay, let's start on this room!" Her mom headed towards the closet.
"No! You can't go in there!" Skye shouted, running in front of her mom. "Skye! What are you doing?" her mother said, startled at her daughter's behavior. "I, um...Don't want you in my closet because if you open it you'll get hurt?" Skye spoke.
"What do you mean I'll get hurt?" her mother asked, opening the closet door.

xp Eeewwuh. It's unfinished, but I think it's okay =3
